RED is a very interesting color, especially when we correlate it with emotions, because it falls on both ends of the spectrum. On one end it denotes happiness, love, passion, while on the other end it also signifies obsession, jealousy, danger and anger. But for me RED is the color of positivity, it makes me feel vibrant and cheerful, RED defines my style, my confidence and elegance. So whenever I’m in doubt, I just go for RED, could be dress, shoes, lips, and even hair, lol (Yes I’m one of those crazy ones who got Red highlights too at one point in my life)

Now you all know why I’m obsessed with RED 🙂

On our anniversary trip to Shanghai, my husband had planned a lot of surprises, but the constant rains played a spoilt sport. However we didn’t give up, and he took me out on those out of Mills & Boon classic romantic dinner date. Thank god I chose the right dress, coz it just made it perfect.

This RED Dress is one of my best and most precious buy from Beijing. Remember my visit to the Beijing Zoo Market?? Yes from a chaos of market, I managed to find this pretty little dress, that too off the rack 🙂

Peplum has been in vogue for quite a while now, and I have like plenty of those now. Peplum looks chic and funky but if designed well it can look classy too. The straight cut of this dress with peplum gives it a very classy look and feel and that’s one reason why this dress can be used as a formal as well as casual (evening) wear both.

Freezing China winters leave me no choice but to pair the dress with leggings, however I’m waiting for the right weather to wear this dress WITHOUT the leggings. And no choice with the shoes, however instead of going for the warm & fuzzy UGGS, I chose my smart leather boots with heels. I would love to try this in summers with my Black Pumps or Red Wedges. Pumps would look perfect on a peplum dress 🙂

So I’m not a big accessories fan, however I do like picking up few odd & unique pieces. And this cute owl is my favorite one, picked up from the Beijing Zoo Market. Its funky, yet subtle and enhances the look.

And as I always say, one thing that works wonder more than make-up or any accessories is the smile of confidence. So don’t forget to smile, it adds on to your confidence and attitude with which you carry your dress.

So keep smiling ladies, I hope you enjoy these pictures. I can’t wait for winters to get over, because I’m dying to get into my summer dress 🙂
