Hey, wassup lovely friends! How are you all doing?

I am obsessed with the current weather situation in Bengaluru. Neither too cold nor too hot, just the right chill. Anyways, it was my birthday month (Psst…July) and now since it is the Raksha Bandhan month (August), it is officially a crime not to shop!

A friend of mine who is also a Cancerian (July born) asked me for a few tips to shop shoes and sandals for herself and her brother as they both are joining a new workplace.

Now if you join a new company, you have to create a certain first impression. Enough reason to shop! hahaha

To all my audience and readers, I always recommend to firstly research on what is needed and then invest in the pieces so that you could upgrade your fashion wardrobe! In this post, I want to talk about both Men and Women Fashion. It is all about the clothes you would need, accessories like shoes, sandals, sunglasses, hats etc. Keep reading if the buzzword ‘Fashion’ interests you in general.

1) Say no to items in your wardrobe that don’t fit you or suit your lifestyle:

Upgrading your wardrobe also means that you need to get rid of the already existing items in your cupboard that are of no use. Invest in pieces that are basic and would go with most of the items already in your wardrobe. Mix-matching is the key to a fashionable day. The same rule applies to your shoes and sandals as well. You do not need 20 pairs of footwear but just the ones that would suit your lifestyle and few pairs that go with the outfits that are already there in your wardrobe. Basic sandals like the one below for both men and women are trendy and useful.

2) A pair of blue jeans:

I absolutely love my denim jeans and I think that anyone can wear them. Though a bit expensive than the regular ones, a pair of denim jeans are comfortable and go a long way. Also, I think investing in quality jeans actually save you a lot as you don’t have to buy a pair of jeans again and again.

Style tip: Any pair of tan coloured casual sandals for men would go with a pair of blue, black or white denim jeans.

Similarly, a perfect casual sandal for women goes well with any pair of jeans.

3) A well fitted white flounced blouse for all formal occasions.

Most offices follow a dress code, however, that does not at all mean that you should wear boring clothes.

Consider items that are appropriate for the office. We all have that one white shirt in our wardrobe. Why don’t we ditch the white shirt and instead invest in a white flounced blouse which is an office worthy item and also a trendy item to own.

If you have a little lenient office dress code then semi-casual sandals are a must in your wardrobe like the one below:

4)Suit Up:

Talking about empowerment we need to suit up! Or at least invest in decent outwear 😛

I can’t stress enough the importance of getting oneself a good suit and some good quality outwears like jackets and coats.

For places like Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai where the temperature can change suddenly it is a good investment. You can wear them with a formal trouser or with a pair of denim jeans!

I would like to add that upgrading your wardrobe is a process that might take time but it is totally worth it. I like adding clothes and shoes that I would actually wear on a daily basis.

Kindly donate what you don’t wear or use. As much as it is environment-friendly, it will also make you feel happy as it is with a good intention & for a good cause.

And that is all for today. Do let me know in the comment section below: which of the above sandals did you like the most? Tan and beige colour are always my go-to colour when it comes to shoes.
