It’s my favorite day of the week….And unlike the daily morning routine I didn’t bother to check my weather app for the temperature outside. Instead I decided to put on my favorite music, make my favorite cup of ginger tea (adhrak wali chai) and talk about my favorite topic online i.e. Food. In my last post I mentioned about my exploring trip to the Hutongs in Beijing (China Hutongs- Mysterious, Mystique & Mesmerizing..!!!) and the one day cooking class that I took at the “ Hutong Kitchen”, today I’m going to share the secret recipe that will unfold all the mysterious Chinese flavor’s in your kitchen.

Weekends are my experimental cooking days and hence I always plan to try at least one new recipe every week. This recipe is extremely simple and the end product is amazingly delicious.

The Chinese make this in a Wok usually, since I didn’t have one I decided to use my nonstick frying pan. Heat the pan over medium flame and add 1 tablespoon of oil, swirl around and turn to low flame.

Now add the pepper, with Skin facing down. Keep pressing the peppers to the frying pan.

Flip the pepper on to the other side after a while and pan fry them till pepper kin becomes golden and tender.

Now move the pepper on to the sides of the pan, add some more oil in the center and the add garlic & onions. Cook till fragrant, then push back the pepper.
