The Body Shop Olive Body Butter /Moisturizer: Review & Swatches

The end of season sale is like a “Boom thunder crash, lightning and then heavy rain on a desert”, kind of situation! We can see sale everywhere. Malls and shops are crowded with crazy people, running with their favorite dress to win the race of reaching & looting the trial box! If you know what I mean. And to this continual culture I am a person who is no different than others!!!! I see each and every section, do the needed inspection, & side-by-side I also keep an eye on what other girls buying (lol) . So as I told you in my last TBS post how I sit like a hungry lioness who stalks its prey, that same way, I waited for “The Body Shop” sale and gifted these to myself. I have already reviewed  The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Make up Remover and here I will be talking about my experiences with the TBS olive body butter! PRICE: For the full pack with all 4 body butters it costs Rs 1795 ( but I BOUGHT IT ON DISCOUNT) however the small tub is Rs 350 each. A 200 ml tub would cost Rs. 900 if not on discount.

DIRECTIONS TO USE: Massage into skin. Be generous! It works even better straight after a bath or shower.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE BODY SHOP  Olive Body Butter

The body shop olive body butter arrived in a green color plastic tub. These are small tubs and hence travel friendly too! It’s a nice white creamy and smooth butter with a hint of green color shade to it, which when applied on the hands and other parts melt easily and get absorbed quickly. The texture is almost like silk. The moisture it provides leaves my body moisturized for as long as 5-6 hours! (My legs are very dry so on it stays for around 4 hours). The only drawback is that a lot of quantity is needed to cover the body parts as it didn’t spread well because the consistency is creamy and not runny. First on my normal hands it felt a little oily but it got absorbed well into the skin within seconds and without making it feel heavy. It has a nice floral and subtle fragrance which is not overpowering and superb for sensitive nose as well.

1)    Unhygienic tub packaging.

2)    Available at high price!

3)    Presence of parabens makes it a ‘not so cool’ product for some, especially who are allergic to it.

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- a gift and blessing for dry skin during winters. It moisturizes well without making skin greasy. The subtle floral smell will make you feel just like in heaven.  I am a sincere TBS fan and love all its butters, but my first love is still the peach body lotion (The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Lotion With Peach Extract & Vineyard Peach fragrance) which though not available throughout but can be used all year round. The body butters on the other hand are meant for winters and for dry to very dry skin!
