‘Infinite Days and Infinite Nights’ is Tahir’s ode to the unsurpassable beauty of the iconic W Hotel Maldives.

Tahir Sultan graduated from the prestigious Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London.

Interned with John Galliano and Alexander McQueen, before launching his own eponymous label in 2008.

His talent was swiftly spotted, earning him accolades in the global press.

The acclaim grew louder when he launched his first showcase at the prestigious London Fashion Week in 2012, as the first Kuwaiti Designer.

Who are we talking about?

Tahir’s unique Kuwaiti-Indian lineage gives him an innate understanding of both cultures. His family’s connection to art, architecture provided for rare exposure to the arts from a very young age, which stirred his passion for style.

This season, the highly acclaimed celebrity designer was invited by the W Hotels to do a collection. Visiting the Maldives, Tahir found his muse in the rich aquatic life, unique forms of fish, their multi-colored scales, turquoise oceans, vibrant house-reef and whispering white sands.

 ‘Infinite Days and Infinite Nights’ is Tahir’s ode to the unsurpassable beauty of the iconic W Hotel Maldives. Tahir explains, “Working days that seem infinite, wishing our nights out with friends were infinite, became my inspiration for creating an insanely glamorous collection. It has the ability to go from office chic to cafe society luncheon; from the Red Carpet to packing in pieces which are ‘out of box’ island wear.”

Staying true to his own design ideology, Tahir meshes this collection with graphic printing technology, pure fabrics and rich embellishments with his unique ability for creative deconstruction. Both prints and embellishments take their reference from fish scales, pearls, the coral and reefs, which touched his imagination. With great attention to fit, Tahir also ensures he flatters the feminine form. He pays attention to comfort, which is a rare luxury yet imperative to our modern lifestyle.

Tahir’s every ensemble resonates with his signature finesse and style, yet is speaks of function, with a touch of playfulness. This reflects through his silhouettes, embroideries and prints, which add a surprising punch.

This Spring/Summer 2015 collection was launched before a select audience, in partnership with W Maldives, at Dubai Fashion Forward UAE.
