Splurge’s Anti Acne Face Pack: Review & Swatches

Here I will be reviewing the “Anti acne face pack”. I have oily, acne prone and sensitive skin and hence I am always searching for products which not just suit my skin but also deliver what they promise! So this face pack did justice? Read on to know more!!!

Product description– Anti acne face pack has the goodness of pure neem, turmeric & sandalwood, which deep cleanses your skin. Tightens open pores & lightens blemishes.

Directions of how to use– mix a teaspoon of the pack with rose water to make a paste. Apply on the face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash it off with water while gently exfoliating your face in circular motions. Use it 2-3 times a week for optimum results.

Ingredients– azadirachta, curcuma longa powder, santalum album, fuller earth.

My experience with the Splurge cosmetics anti acne face pack

The splurge’s anti acne face pack is packed in a decent white color plastic tub. The name of the brand is engraved on the top and all the details are provided at the back of the pack. As I opened the cap I could smell turmeric and sandalwood. I became excited as after a long time I was trying a complete natural mud based face pack. Long time back, my grandma use to prepare packs for my mom & me using fullers earth and hence it was an emotional moment as well. She had these amazing recipes and used these ingredients for almost everything! Neem being a stable and secret ingredient too!

So reliving the old memories with baited breadth I, prepared a paste of this pack by adding few drops of rose water to my two teaspoon powder pack. It became of a consistency which is neither too thin not too thick, I applied it onto my face, covered my eyes with wet cotton balls, set the timer for 15 minutes and there I was slowly and steadily going in deep sleep. (Dr. Roma advised me to not let the pack sit on face for more than 20 minutes.)

Correctly after 15 minutes my timer wakes a sleeper… I first scrubbed my face with the pack itself for a minute and then washed my face with normal tap water. There were minute particles in the face pack, not visible,  but can only be felt while scrubbing the face.

After washing I did get clean and soft skin. My skin looked as if all dead cells were gone! But still a glow was missing. I applied my moisturizer and went to bed. In the morning, to a pleasant surprise I saw a nice healthy glow on my skin! Wow I had a nice sleep I thought! But soon I realized that it’s the work of this pack! So an exfoliated face with a soft glow, that’s an added bonus!

1)    No chemicals added.

2)    No animal testing.

3)    All natural ingredients! Hurray!

4)    Amazing pack for oily acne prone skin, which sucks the extra oil from the already oily face.

5)    Exfoliates well.

6)    Provides a clean and soft skin.

7)    Okay for sensitive skin as well!. (Just remember that if you have super sensitive skin then don’t let it dry too much. Wash off your face before 15 minutes)

8)    Its super economical

9)    It didn’t dry out my face to an extent which cannot be taken care by a moisturizer.

2)    It didn’t do anything to my blackheads. (Though it doesn’t promise so but still as this turned out to be a knight in the shining armor I thought it would make my blackheads disappear…)
