I was quite intrigued by the brand Sivanna Colors, especially their Shimmer highlighters because they are hyped as being dupes of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks and everyone has been raving about them. I bought the Sivanna Colors Shining Star Shimmer Brick in shade 06 which has 4 hues of pink along with a highlight color.

My Experience With Sivanna Colors Shining Star Shimmer Brick

Let’s talk about the colors first from right to left

The first shade is a very light pink with a metallic sheen to it

The second one is a beautiful highlighter shade with gold reflects

The third shade is a dusty pink with rose gold reflects

The fourth shade is a baby pink with a lot of silver shimmer and

The fifth one is a deeper pink with a pink metallic sheen.

The packaging is simple,sturdy, and fuss free. The quality of the product is excellent considering the price that you pay for it. When you swirl the brush, it feels a bit powdery and there is a lot of fallout but on the application, it looks very even and subtle. The pigmentation is great and can be easily layered to build up the color, especially if you are using it as an eyeshadow. (Tip: use a damp brush to get an intense pink  color on your lids). Lasting power is also great as it stays in place for the entire day. The powder is finely milled making it smooth to apply and easy to blend, the shimmer is not chunky.

I love products that are versatile and can be doubled up. Case in point, this Sivanna Colors Shimmer Highlighter can be used as a blush, a highlighter, and an eyeshadow. I am absolutely in love with the highlight color because it has golden reflects rather than the usual silver, making it look more natural. It blends into the skin, giving a lit from within kinda complexion. This definitely qualifies for the best affordable highlighter category. I also like it as an eyeshadow because it is easily layered-up to intensify the color and can be blended easily. As a blush, however, I don’t like it much because I personally am not a fan of metallic and glittery blushes. I like a matte texture when it comes to blushes and bronzers but nonetheless, if you like sheen in your blushes then this one is really good because one swirl of the brush is all you need to get that radiant flush on your cheeks.

I am quite impressed by the Sivanna Colors Shimmer Brick and I look forward to trying more products from this brand. There is nothing to regret, right from the packaging to the quality. Talking about its similarity with the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, I feel that the Bobbi Brown’s are more buttery and a bit more pigmented than these but the difference is not huge enough to shell out over three grand for them.
