Today I will be talking about a pressed face powder that got ravishing reviews right from the YouTube beauty gurus to nearly dozens of bloggers! I was so keen in trying this but wasn’t able to find it and when I did I didn’t spare even a second minute thinking that I need it or not! Hell yes…I need to have this in my life and why not it’s a hit product, its economical and its right in front of my eyes!!!

Another reason why I made this purchase is, that it’s Dermatologically tested which is great for oily acne prone skin 🙂

IMG_7311My Experience With Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder In Shade 005 Silky Beige

Rimmel matte pressed powder is packaged in a nice transparent plastic pan. The name is embossed on the top and the rest of the details at the bottom of the pan. Price, shelf life of the product and ingredients they have mentioned it all!

IMG_7314Rimmel matte pressed powder is transparent & not chalky on my NC42 skin. I wasn’t happy with this shade (005 silky beige) as it’s a bit light on my face. It blends beautifully at the back of my hand but as my face skin is not as fair as my hand it’s not a correct match. Thought the SA at the counter used it on my face and in the store light it seemed okay but in day light I find it a little light but not ghostly thankfully.

The powder is soft and silky in texture and blends well on skin. Also when face is nicely moisturized and the base is set this doesn’t give any dry patches and stay on my face for nearly 5 hours during normal weather. During hot summers I don’t think it would stay that long. As in Bangalore we don’t have that much heat and one day when it was I went out and had to touch up, after say, maybe 3.5 hours. Still it won’t be a very good deal for dry skinned.

IMG_7316Turn On: Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder

1) It’s perfect for my oily skin.

2) Its so economical.

3) I like the look of packaging.

4) It didn’t break me out.

5) Good for sensitive skin as well as its Dermatologically tested.

Turn Off: Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder

1) There is no puff/ sponge and hence I have to either buy a puff/sponge or a brush to use it! ( P.s. it works best with a brush)

2) It is not very good option for dry skinned.

3) When I apply it on my oily skin without much precaution or with heavy hand, then it gives a white look.

4) Didn’t minimize the pores as it claimed. It’s just a nice matte finish powder.

COSMOCHICS RATING: 4.30/5

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER– An economical pressed powder that actually gives matte look and is a winner keeping oil at bay for quite some time. However it’s not the best option in the market when it comes to keeping oil away for at least half a day! Still since it’s so pocket-friendly a onetime buy is suggested if you have normal to oily skin.

WE LOVE TO HEAR FROM OUR READERS
