Hey friends,
This is my first time that I am going to share a Smokey Eye tutorial here. Before I start I should confess a few things, it was not in one day that I learnt everything, perfecting eye makeup needs a little patience and a lot of practice and I am still learning to do even better.
Okay, coming to second thing I always thought that Smokey eyes need loads of effort to look good on anyone, well yes the blending and proper shaping of eye shadow in accordance to your eye shape can’t be achieved easily… but experimenting with a few things helped me achieve an easy and tricky way to get those Smokey eyes, that too with minimal products …how? Well, read on girls…I bet you will love it … 😉
Let’s get started with our Smokey Eye Tutorial…
- Moisturize your eyes very well with a moisturizer.
- Then prime your eye lids. Now apply black gel eyeliner all over the lids (it is mandatory to achieve this particular look). Apply it with an eye shadow brush, no need to be neat as we are going to blend it with fingers. Care should be taken that it doesn’t cross the crease line, it should cover only the eye lid portion.
- Now take a pink eyeshadow and apply it on entire lid with an eyeshadow brush. Yes entire lid up to your crease line and blend blend blend baby…yes…you heard me right only one eyeshadow.
- Now the magic… as we covered our lid with black gel eye liner as base to half part of our eye lid only so mixing of that black gel eyeliner with pink eyeshadow will create a beautiful purple blue shade on the lid. On the crease line as it was left bare, the pink shade will show up. This way you achieve two tone shades with one eyeshadow easily.
- When you apply the eyeshadow no need to be perfect and do not worry about outer side of eye because we will use a wet tissue to remove the excess Eyeshadow from that area to create a clear “v” shape.
- Now apply a turquoise colored eye pencil on your upper and lower lash line. Just apply a thin line on upper lash line in order to achieve a three tone of shade on upper eye lid. You can create a small winged look with the eye pencil so that it is easier to define the outer V and then if you want you can join the upper and lower liner while creating the winged look.
- Now tight line your eyes. Upper water line I tight line with an eye liner pen and lower water line I tight line with a black kohl pencil.
- Highlight your brow bone area with a shimmery silver shade followed by filling your brows with eye brow pencil.
- Finally apply loads of mascara.
- You can always team up this look with a bright red lipstick or any neutral brown shade of lipstick.
Tadaaaaaa!!! The final look….
I am not mentioning the products that I have used here as I believe you can achieve this look with same shades from any brand. It all depends on the choice of shades not on brands.
So hope this easy-peasy smokey eye tutorial turns out to be helpful for you ….
