The onset of the summers brings joy and a lot of outdoor activities. The best ones that I can remember are the times I spent on a beach with my friends or a road trip with family members. But the increase in time spent under the sun increases the cause of sun tan, skin burn and repeated exposure cause skin aging as well. I have used a number of sunblocks but one of my favorite skincare staple is “Neutrogena dry touch sunblock” a product that is  always in steady demand!

Before knowing my experience please go thorugh some facts about using sunscreens.

Some facts about using sunscreens

1) Always apply sunscreen before 20-30 minutes of sun exposure.

2) Apply not just a coin size but a good amount covering each exposed part. Re-apply on hands after washing them each time!

3) Even if you have applied sunscreen don’t be under the sun for too long intentionally thinking that your face is protected. Avoid going out when sun rays are more intense (example from 12: 00 pm to 4:00 pm)

4) Do not rub and pull your under eye skin during applying sunscreen, just apply softly and wear sunglasses. Wash immediately if any burning sensation is experienced. I usually don’t put a thick layer under eye area. Just pat it with my hands while applying all over face.

5) To be on a safer side use a Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, fragrance free sunscreen for the sensitive under eye area.

Direction to use: The art is that one should apply it liberally before 20 minutes of sun exposure and re apply it after every 2 hours. Cover your face, neck and the exposed body parts for an even tone skin. Also, be cautious while pressing the tube as I’m sure you don’t want the whole quantity out & in your hand!

My Experience With Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50+

Packed in a smart ombre blue shade tube Neutrogena is your best friend if you are an outdoor person!

Neutrogena solely boasts of “Helioplex” a type of sun protection providing broad-spectrum UVA and UVB skin protection. This helps in absorbing the full spectrum of UVA rays and provides broad-spectrum UV coverage which includes UVB and short wave ultraviolet rays as well!

IMG_7550The consistency of the sunscreen is creamy lotion and like the rest of the sunscreens available in the market, but to my surprise unlike others, it settles as a light weight and felt so matte on skin with no white cast on the face! Yes, I could see a little sheen on my face which I actually liked as it gave a little brightened look! The sheen doesn’t mean oil, as I was left with an oil free face for almost 5 hours. I was out and under sun and though the weather here in Bangalore is not too hot but we do get days that are quite humid with glaring summery heat and skin literally needs air to breathe. And having such a great formula on skin that is “as good as wearing nothing at all” I was left with a pampered and protected skin! A skin that is soft, smooth and sweat proof.

I have an oily, acne prone sensitive skin and in no ways it harmed my skin or caused any breakouts!

Swatches

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”As I said before that on skin it’s as comfortable as wearing nothing at all! So light, super absorbable, non-comedogenic formula that stays long and keeps skin sweat proof for hours.
