Hello Everybody,

It’s been long time I have done an eye makeup tutorial on the blog. When Garima asked me if I can create an eye makeup look using the famous Pantone Colour of The year 2015 – Marsala,I could not say no, however when it comes to eye makeup tutorials I am always nervous ‘coz it’s very subjective, few may like few may not- everyone has their own style and comfort and I absolutely respect that. I recently hauled many MAC eye shadows which were lying unused and untouched. Tutorials give me a scope to use them. Makeup is fun and I must say I had a great time creating this look. Not only I tried but I learnt too, so thanks Garima for giving me an opportunity to experiment with eye shadows and play with it. #trueinspiration.

Let’s get started. Products that I used are listed below. You don’t have to use same products; it can be from any brand.

Marsala is described to enrich our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. It is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us into its embracing warmth”. The shade Marsala is very sultry warm copper-reddish-brown shade or to describe in other words, it’s a brownish wine shade with a hint of rust. It’s a warm shade which compliments any skin tone. Despite being an earthy shade, it adds the right amount of glamour to any look. I don’t have the exact shade in my stash therefore I tried this look with its substitute, not exactly same but very close.

Products used:

MAC Ground Brown Eyeshadow

MAC texture Eyeshadow

MAC Cranberry Eyeshadow

Urban Decay perversion Eyeliner (in black)

Maybelline Falsies Mascara

MAC Ground Brown Eyeshadow

Step: 1

Apply any Black eyeliner/ kohl and smudge it on upper and lower lash line. You don’t have to be precise while smudging, just remember it should be within crease. This will be our base. I used UD perversion eyeliner (in black) – you can use any black eyeliner of your choice.

Marsala Eye makeup tutorial Step: 2

With a big Fluffy blending brush take a warm brown shade and apply it as a crease colour. I have used MAC Texture eye shadow; it is very versatile warm caramel colour, perfect for crease and best suited on warm undertones. You can take any similar shade that you have.

Step 3:

Now the main part, contouring the crease and outer “V”- most people love this step but for me it’s too hard ‘coz I still don’t have enough control on how much pressure and area I need to contour. Anyways- I used MAC ground brown eye shadow from my Maleficent Eye shadow quad and applied on my outer “V” – up on crease blending inwards- as shown in the picture. DO NOT forget to blend blend and blend.

Step 4:

With a flat shader brush I applied MAC cranberry, you can take any similar shade you have, the original Marsala should be best (I don’t have the exact shade, hence the substitute).  Apply on 2/3rd of the lid as shown in the pic. Again blend all together with a fluffy blending brush. All the eyeshadows should be blended together with no harsh lines left behind. For newbie’s like me, I promise once you start loving something you can crack the hell out of anything so please try…its fun and super easy!!

Dark Maybelline Falsies Mascara

Step 5:

Take the same black eyeliner or Kohl pencil; apply on waterline as well as on lower lash line. Smudge it with any smudge brush (I used Colorbar smudge brush). Now it’s time for my favorite part- THE MASCARA: D it can make your eyes look wide and awake and give dimension to eyes, lift your face and make you look fresh ;).  I applied Maybelline falsies Mascara here. #loveit

P.S: I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did while creating it. I tried to put my best knowledge while creating this look
