My Experience With The New Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons
These lip crayons look like as if they came straight from a 5-year-old’s crayon box, they look pretty simple, nothing fancy about the appearance. They also come along with a dual sharpener which is quite useful, can be used for the crayons, obviously, but also for your eye/lip pencils that are non-retractable.
Coming to the shades, they are not unique, most of them are basic shades but they work across all skin tones (well, most of them). I picked up two shades from the collection, cinnamon, and baby pink. The Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons would be great for those who have just started with makeup or like to experiment with colors because they are quite affordable and you can mix and match to form other hues, go ahead, have fun with colors because these can be blended together (in the swatches below you can see how I got four shades out of two).
The quality is average but I don’t expect more at this price point. These are somewhat in between a cream and satin finish but do not give a rich feel, maybe because of the pigmentation. The pigmentation is not too great and these have to be swiped multiple times to show the true color and the lighter shades look a bit patchy.
Like I said, you have to go over and over with these but they do not tug or pull the lips. The formula is lightweight and non-drying. There is some glitter in two of the shades, but it is not gritty. The staying power is 3 hours (without snaking/meals) after that they start fading from the center leaving a colored rim on the outer lips. Touch up is needed in such a situation and yes, they do transfer.
“Info On A Silver Platter”
I think this is a great affordable range of lip colors from Lakme and the all these colors work pretty well for Indian skin tones. It’s a great range for starters/college going lot/those on a budget!!!
At the end I would say that the New Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons are light on the pocket, easy on lips and a neat shade range to play with, not an exceptional quality but justifies the price and they look cute too, small and convenient enough to fit a few shades in the smallest of the clutch.
