I have really loved some Neutrogena products in the past and their hand cream and sunblock are my absolute favorites, so when I saw this bright green bottle of face wash promising to deep clean them pores, I knew I had to buy it. I am half way through the bottle so here comes the review.

My Experience With The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Daily Wash

This lime green face wash comes in a transparent bottle with a pump dispenser. It has a gel-like consistency and a slimy slippery texture, when I try to rub the product in between my palms, I always drop some of it. The fragrance is very fresh and zesty and feels quite pleasant and uplifting.

The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Daily Wash is very gentle and does not foam much, just a slight lather. I do not have more to say about this product because I did not like it at all. It wasn’t even average. I never got a clean feeling after using this face wash. Giving it a benefit of doubt I did try using it in different seasons and during various moods of my skin, but the results were the same. It works better with my cleansing brush but not on its own.

Yes, it is a gentle face wash and does not over dry (but it dries) the skin but it never gave me a clean fresh feeling and as far as the mattifying claim is concerned, it does not mattify the skin because after two hours or so, I see my skin getting shiny. I don’t see it working for people with oily skin at all. Maybe normal skin types will like it better.

Nothing much to say here because I will not recommend this face wash as I personally did not like it. If you have an oily skin and you are looking for something that deep cleans and pulls out gunk from the pores then there are better options available in the market, skip this one.
