NARS Lipstick (Satin Finish) CASABLANCA: Review, Swatches & FOTD

Hello Dearies,

Since 2 months I was hunting for this lipstick shade. By this time you all must have known how much I love lip colours 🙂  My cupboard is becoming a warehouse of lipsticks 😛 and now my mom is after me to clear all stash asap or else she will throw them without asking me , how rude :/ L.. Anyways It’s a long story lets not go there. Let me share with you another addition of mine “NARS Satin Finish Lipstick- CASABLANCA”.

My Experience With NARS Satin Finish Lipstick CASABLANCA

The shade is described as a classic full bodied Coral. It is very pretty very classic subtle orange shade which leans towards Coral. If coral can look so subtle and beautiful I can wear this shade throughout my lifetime without giving a second thought.  I am always a MAC loyalist not that I don’t like other brands but just saying. While searching few shades from NARS this beauty took my heart. It is a perfect summer n*de orange in Satin finish which has slight sheen and gives a semi-opaque finish on lips. NARS Satin Finish Lipstick- CASABLANCA has nice and rich pigmentation that can cover any type of lip pigmentations with couple of layerings. NARS lipsticks are light weight than a MAC lipstick, that’s what I feel. Texture is creamy and non- tagging. It glides smoothly on lips and provides proper moisturization without accentuating dry lip lines. It is always advisable to exfoliate and prep your lips properly before applying any lip colour.  NARS CASABLANCA a Satin finish provides 4-5 hours of wear time without smudging or budging. But I must say it tends to fade quite faster.

I am glad I picked this shade. Those who are not a fan of bold lip colours can opt for this kind of shade. It is appropriate for daily use, day time as well as night too. Let’s talk about packaging- Do you see how beautiful it looks…That’s my first reaction when I took the lipstick out from the outer cover packaging. NARS packaging has velvety touch to it. Matte Velvet Black body looks so elegant. I really like the packaging more than MAC. 😛

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”– NARS Casablanca is a muted orange and the most wearable shade you can ever find in any other brand.  It is very flattering shade without being in-your-face orange. Best pair it up with soft smoky eyes or dramatic eyes. Love it!!  🙂
