Mary Kom is a Biopic on the life of a sports star Mary Kom and Priyanka essays the role of Mary in this film.It celebrates the ‘Never say die “ spirit of Mary Kom.
Wednesday, 13th August Priyanka and Mary Kom along with the Director Omung Kumar and producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali launched the music of the film. Mary was accompanied by her husband Onler Kom.
Priyanka was her usual chirpy and confident self. She opened the event by intoning a lullaby called ‘chaoro’ from the film. This is her first ever hindi song and she has done a great job at it. She said that she was a nervous kitten because she was playing Mary on screen and wanted to live up to the expectations.

Mary came across as a very sweet and humble soul. She is definitely a multi talented personality because apart from being an olympic champ she is an excellent singer and a dancer. Mary stated that she is very happy and satisfied by the end results of the Biopic and Priyanka has done an excellent job in the film.
The movie also stars Danny Denzongpa, newcomer Darshan Kumaar, Sunil Thapa, Minakkshi Kalitaa, Shishir Sharma and Zachary Coffin. The film is slated for release on September 5.

Mary Kom also has started India’s first female-only fight club at Imphal to teach thousands of girls to defend themselves against sexual violence in India.
