Maybelline Lip Polish Glam 07: Review,Swatches & Lips Of The Day

‘LIP POLISH’ is the name is good enough for all the gloss lovers to buy them instantly and when the packaging is uber cute, it’s like the cherry on cake. I could not resist buying one so ended up with Glam 7.

APPLICATION:
Apply lip color with applicator wand starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH MAYBELLINE LIP POLISH GLAM 07

These lip polishes are available in 15 pretty shades, be it nudes, corals, peaches oranges, red there is one for everyone (I bet you will come back with multiples of them)

These are packed in cute transparent rectangular tubes with a metallic silver lid. The color is visible through the tube which makes it easy to locate the shade. The USP of the packaging is that at first site they look like a lipstick with a transparent cap, which looks really cute. The applicator is the regular sponge applicator which picks up adequate amount of the product, the only difference is that it’s shaped like a leaf which makes the application very easy and accurate.

Glam 7 is a very pretty pinky peachy color with very mild brown hue to it which makes it different from the usual shades. It does not contain any glitters unlike some other shades in this range. It will suit almost all complexions except very dark ones because it may give a washed out look. Looks great as an everyday office shade and even goes perfectly with Smokey eyes giving you that “hello I am Kim Kardashian” feel.

The texture is quite thick. The first coat may end up looking a bit streaky but the second coat covers it all giving a very smooth and shiny pout. The color is opaque (not like lip colors, I am talking in terms of a gloss) in the first coat itself so the second one is required just to smooth out the surface. Glam 7 is a very light color but to my surprise it covers slight pigmentation quite easily. Kudos to that!!!! I can’t comment weather it can cover dark pigmentation or not.

These polishes are very creamy and moisturizing. They sit comfortably over the lips without giving a heavy feel. The best part is that they last very long. They easily survive a span of 5 hours with mild snacks and drinks. The glossy effect goes away in an hour’s time but the color and moisture stays intact. It even has staining properties so you can see a hint of color even after 5 hours which is commendable for a lip gloss. After say 3 hours it tends to settle in fine lines but that was just me 5mm away from the mirror!!!! Not noticeable otherwise.
