My Experience With The Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks

The Color Show lipsticks come in a simple black tube with a colored ring in the centre. The shade name and number is mentioned at the base. If you have a few shades, the color ring might help but if you are collecting multiple shades from the same family then you might have to refer to the base to find the shade.

These can be easily thrown into your bags because the cap shuts with a click and stays put so don’t worry about the horror of an open lipstick in the bag.

The color show lipsticks are very creamy and moisturising without being heavy on the lips. They have a soft buttery texture which makes them glide easily. You don’t need a lip balm underneath but exfoliating the lips is a must because they cling to flakey bits. They have a mild fragrance which goes away in seconds.They are extremely pigmented, showing their true colour in just one swipe except for one or two shades. They do transfer but fade evenly staying only for 4-5 hours max. Some shades leave a stain and some don’t. They do not feather or bleed. The finish is a bit glossy in the first few minutes of application, afterwards they dry down to a moist, slightly matte texture.

Violet Fusion: This is a pretty violet with slight brown undertones. It will look great on all complexions.

Fuchsia Flare: A blue based fuchsia pink colour which will look great on fair skin tones.

Orange Icon : looks very bright and you might not want to pick it up if you are not into bold colours but let me tell you that the bullet is deceiving because this is a peachy coral shade and has the lightest pigmentation.

Cherry Crush: This is a very unique shade. Its a cherry red colour with pink and slight coral undertones and it brightens up your face immediately.
