Maybelline Bold Matte By Colorsensational MAT 5

Hope you are doing well. Today I am here to review another lip product from my stash. It’s the Maybelline Bold Matte lipstick in MATTE 5. This is indeed one of my most favourite red lipsticks. Read to find out why.

It isn’t a long time since Maybelline had launched their Bold Matte range. I was lucky to win one of the shades from this range in a giveaway. I’ve seen the swatches of the other shades but couldn’t convince me to buy again. The shade I received as the giveaway prize was the Matte 5 which is a very nice Red. I can say that this is the best matte red shade I’ve used so far.

Packaging- Maybelline Bold Matte Lipstick- Matte 5 has a packaging very similar to the regular Colorsenstional lipsticks. It comes with a frosted red cap and a steel body. The cap is matte which is appropriate for the name and the formula of the lipstick.

Shade– Bold Matte MAT5 is a pink-toned red which is just perfect for anytime of the day. You can even say it’s a reddish pink. I am bad at describing things. So, pardon me please 😛

Product- Matte 5 is a quite creamy matte lip colour. It isn’t drying at all and glides on the lips very smoothly. It has a moisturizing formula that makes the lips soft and supple for a time being. It doesn’t flake out and doesn’t settle in the fine lines. Though these lipsticks aren’t what we actually suppose a matte lipstick should be, but then they aren’t shiny or glossy either. These Bold Matte lipsticks are much pigmented and tend to leave a pink tinge after fading away. Matte 5 has a decent wear time, in my case it was 4-5 hours without eating or drinking anything. If it can stay for 4 hours on me, it will definitely stay longer on anybody.

• Transfers a bit.

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- If you’re not superstitious about matte lipsticks, then you must try this. This is not really the typical matte, nor is it glossy. It is just a creamy matte which gives your lips extra moisture and leaves it hydrated. The pinkish red is just great to flatter fair to medium skin tones. This lipstick is perfect for those who want quality within budget.
