#MakingDesignVisible with Pearl Academy

We were delighted when we got an invitation from Pearl Academy to witness a creative showcase by the students as they portray Mumbai in a very unique manner. We were also informed that #MakingDesignVisible is meant to showcase various locales of Mumbai.

The theme of #Makingdesignvisible in the locales of Mumbai got us all excited and we waited with baited breath for be a part of the event.
According to a study, it is believed that artists have structurally different brains. Students at Pearl Academy also created different art installations with a creative zeal. They are always looking for opportunities where they can create something unique and amazing. As Mumbai is well known for its architecture this was a good time for the students to portray their version of new designs. They brainstormed 3 months along with the teachers to create a line of work and execute it accordingly.
At the Mumbai centre, Pearl Academy hosted a 3-day event. For this event the students participated under the expert guidance of distinguished personalities from ADI (Association of Designers of India). ADI managed by the National Executive Committee wherein they are committed to promoting best practices professionally in the field of design and fashion.
The brainstorming session turned out to be a fruitful one as they presented Mumbai in their own way!
First Day:The opening ceremony of the event was with a panel discussion. It was attended by the eminent names from the ADI.
Second day: Witnessed a lot of design workshops organised by designer and artist KK Murlidharan. He taught the students various theories with which they could use their creativity in different ways and forms.
Third day included the meet and greet sessions with (Fashion Influencers) where we saw the designs and interacted with the students. It was amazing to see how talented these kids are and how their imagination is limitless. There was panel discussion, influencers meet and interaction with all the fashion bloggers. The students through their designs proved that such arrangement of ideas and reasoning can create unique designs. The installations were absolutely creative and intriguing, we couldn’t stop praising them.
This event was enlightening as we witnessed the everyday scenes of Mumbai architecture with a completely different view point.
It feels amazing and we are pleased that Peral Academy gave us this chance to meet such young talent and experience their wonderful work.
