I am very excited to review another product from MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection and its Mac Mystical!!! 🙂

I already reviewed extra dimension blush from this collection- “Seduced at Sea” (Review Here) long back. And today it’s time for “Mac Mystical” Lipstick. . Honestly I had no plan to pick this shade but seeing such tremendous hype I thought to try it at store. First thing I noticed about the shade is that it is not at all loud but very neutral. It makes me look as if I am not wearing any lip makeup but there is something on my lips (if that make sense: P ). Sadly it was out of stock when I wanted it but thanks to all friendly MUAs they managed to provide me one later. Thanks girlssss <3…

My Experience With MAC Mystical Alluring Aquatic Collection Cremesheen Lipstick

The Packaging- is very attractive, I feel very refreshed each time I see and touch them :P. Very unique and has strong customer appealing look. Although I don’t get any aquatic thoughts seeing these shades but the packaging is the star of this collection. The packaging comes with teal blue-glossy metallic case (instead of regular black) with tiny little water droplets on it which you can be felt when touched. It gives me the feelings of dew drops. This is one of the prettiest packaging so far. Both the outer cover and the lipstick case have same packaging and definitely drool worthy!

Shade – MAC Mystical is described as a Midtone Creamy Rose with cremesheen formula. The shade is soft muted rosy pink in warm undertones.

According to me Mystical is one of those universal neutral kind of shade which would suit all skin types. Very wearable during the day time and can nicely paired up with heavy eye look at night!

I have heard that Mac Mystical Lipstick is one of the top sellers here in India, and I can see why that is so.. <3 It is not like in your face kind of color but definitely very soothing to eyes. The name – “Mystical” really suits the shade… it is so pretty on lips. On my lips it’s neither completely nude nor loud.

Texture/Formula –  Mac mystical has Medium to buildable formula that has slight sheen to it like any other cremesheen lipstick.

Cremesheen formula is one of my favorites, asthey are opaque, richly pigmented and gives full colour coverage with 2 swipes.  The creaminess of the formula keeps my lips smooth and moisturized throughout the day. It glides on the lips smoothly without pulling or tugging. The softness of the finish hydrates and gives even application on lips. It doesn’t settle into lip lines and is very comfortable. I wear it with and without any lip liner and in both the cases I see no budging at all!

Staying Power- On me it lasts for 4-5 hours and fades evenly. I don’t have to struggle to reapply after that.

1)    I love the packaging the most 😀

2)    Mac Mystical is a very gorgeous neutral shade.

3)    Comes with one of my favorite Creamsheen formula.

4)    It keeps my lips hydrated and well moisturized for the whole day.

5)    The formula gives luminous shine to lips.

6)    Highly pigmented. Gives complete opaque coverage in 2 swipes.

7)    Does not budge or bleed. This means that it stays at its place.

8)   Gives 5 hours of wear time even if I am munching through the day and still I can see the color on my lips. It doesn’t fade completely!

1)   This is not about the shade but MAC has again raised the price from 1350 to 1450 INR which I think is absurd.

2)   Availability. It is a limited Edition.

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- Yes I absolutely recommend this shade to you all, if you like soft everyday kind of shade then this is a must have. Again the packaging is so alluring who want to skip it… isn’t it?? 😉 I don’t know if you can still get the shade but if you do, don’t miss! 🙂
