After wearing and loving corals I wanted to make a transition towards orange because when i see others wearing it, I find it quite chic and classy. It gives you oomph without being too over the top and peps up even the simplest looking outfit. I picked up mac ‘MORANGE’ but when i tried it; I found it to be too bold for myself. Then tried ‘’VEGAS VOLT’ but it was not the kind of orange i wanted; it was slightly pink, and then finally I found out the perfect orange for me and it was the “Mac Matte So Chaud ”.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH MAC SO CHAUD
Mac Matte So Chaud is a matte finish lipstick from mac. I have used some other matte lipstick earlier, they feel very chalky and drying and I always dreaded them.
When I read matte I was quite apprehensive but this one proved me wrong!
Even though it is matte, it’s quite creamy on application. Not like creemsheens, but glides smoothly over the lips without pulling them. It doesn’t feel heavy but it becomes drying after a few hours and accentuates the dry areas of your lips, which obviously looks bad. It also settles in fine lines. To avoid this I scrub my lips first and then apply a thick coat of Vaseline for 5 minutes, after that wipe off with cotton pad. This removes the dry dead skin from my lips making them soft and smooth. Now when i apply ‘SO CHAUD’ it looks and feels beautiful. After a few hours it still becomes drying but it is not an ugly sight anymore. (Ahh, what a relief)
Colour can be orangey red (very fair) or reddish orange (Indian skin) depending on your skin tone. For me it’s that perfect orange with a kick of red which mutes that orangey effect and makes it a wearable shade. It’s that kind of colour which instantly lifts your face. My favorite look with it is my lbd(little black dress),nude makeup and a pop of ‘MATTE MAC SO CHAUD’. It instantly makes you look sophisticated and classy. Otherwise I use it sheered out with a gloss over it.
Pigmentation wise its superb and it goes for around 5 plus hours with food and drinks, (transfers on the glass though) after that it leaves behind a pink stain which doesn’t come out until you use lizol (kidding!!!!!!!) with a decent cleanser.
TURN ON: MAC MATTE SO CHAUD LIPSTICK
1) The colour is long lasting.
2) It gives great pigmentation.
3) Nice creamy lipstick with matte finish.
4) Doesn’t bleed. So no worries!
TURN OFF: MAC MATTE SO CHAUD LIPSTICK
1) The lipstick dries out the lips after few hours.
2) Settles in fine lines.
3) Stains! (It works for me but everyone might not like it).
4) Price of the lipstick too high!
“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- MAC MATTE SO CHAUD IS A GREAT ORANGISH COLOUR. WITH A FANTASTIC COLOUR PAYOFF, IT LASTS LONG AS WELL! IT DOES FEEL HEAVY BUT TO PREVENT THE DRYING, EXFOLIATE YOUR LIPS AND YOU WOULD BE GOOD TO GO! SHOULD I SAY MORE? IT’S A GREAT ALTERNATIVE TO A CLASSIC RED LIP COLOUR FOR ME.
