During my last visit to Mac I brought few eye shadows out of which I also picked MAC Heirloom Collection pressed Pigment eyeshadow in the shade “Enchantment”.. I will not say much let the pictures do the talking 🙂 🙂 hehehhe

Ever since I heard Mac is about to launch Heirloom Mix collection I was prepared to pick this shade. For the first time it’s not a lipstick for me but an eye shadow that lured me so much. Surprisingly this collection is huge, I was little confused at times to figure out what comprises heirloom mix. It contains amazing brush sets, face makeup kit. Mineralize smokey Eye kit (I love every shade in them). And individual lipsticks; single pressed eye shadows; lip liners etc. In one word its huge collection 🙂 (See collection here)

What MAC Claims:An intensely creamy highlighter offering extreme pearlescence and versatility of finish. Apply dry for a high shine, or on damp skin for a dramatic wet look. Provides eye-catching sheer-to-moderate buildable coverage and natural dimension finish. Pressed Pigment is delicate. Please handle with care. My Experience With Mac Enchantment Eyeshadow :

Mac describes “Enchantment” as “violet with blue sparkles. It is a blackened navy blue with lots of iridescent blue and purple shimmers in it. These are basically pressed pigments in pan, they are meant to provide high shine with sheer to buildable coverage. The packaging as you can see comes with a black glossy body with numerous white sparkles sprinkled on top not that u can feel while touching but it’s attractive to eyes.

The best thing is that you can use these dry or wet. Although all the shades are quite pigmented but I find them smoother when applied wet. One thing I have noticed that the texture is quite dry which makes it hard to apply and blend, it clumps together while blending. I had to apply- reapply-again apply to bring out the intensity of the product. It needs lots of time and patience to blend when applied dry- Oh and yes- It does give fall out-so watch it, Dyaaam!! :-\ (Apply base or eye primer; be ready with concealer and makeup wipes). Better do eye makeup first… However I noticed the best possible intensity and smoothness comes when applied wet. Just spray Mac fix plus or any toner on your shader brush and apply.

Pigmentation as mentioned earlier is best when applied wet. It will give intense colour payoff and rock your look immediately. The blue and purple shimmers catch lights and reflect sparkles all over lids. I am amazed to see such a stunning shade, how someone can miss it. It’s so beautiful and party saver!

Beautiful iridescent pressed pigment with blue and purple shimmer shade.
Absolutely night out / party appropriate.
Can be applied both dry and wet.
Applies smoothly and evenly when applied wet. Gives high shine and opaque finish.
Sheer to buildable when applied dry and mostly opaque when applied wet.
Good for creating smokey or dramatic party look.
Last for 7-8 hours with base before creasing on me.
I am a sucker for this kind of shade, I love it.
MAC heirloom collection is huge- consist of makeup brushes, face kit, smokey eye kit, lipsticks, eye shadows, lipliner and eye pencils etc..
These eyeshadows can be used alone of pair up with any look for that extra shiny sparkly touch.

Turn Off : MAC Heirloom Collection pressed Pigment Eyeshadow “Enchantment”

Dry application is lot stiffer and gives massive fall out.
Gives sheer coverage when applied dry. Needs extra time for blending.
Not for everyday look.
Need to do eye look first and get your concealer and makeup wipes/makeup remover ready.
Those who don’t like high shine eyeshadows- this should not for you.
