MAC Good Kisser Novel Romance Collection Lipstick: Review & Swatches

Hey girls,

Hope you had a good time with family and friends during the past few days of Dussehra ( Maha Navmi) /Durga Pooja! I have been missing from “Cosmochics” for quite a while; it was festival time here too in Kolkata which kept me busy.

However when MAC decided the launch date of MAC Novel Romance Collection on Dussehra, I couldn’t resist myself picking up few items. What’s better to celebrate dussehra with MAC haul?? Therefore today I am going to review – MAC Novel Romance Collection Lipstick- “Good Kisser”. Mac is going to launch few awesome collections in coming months but for now let’s move on with the review.

My Experience With Mac Good Kisser Lipstick

MAC describes “Good Kisser”- as a Midtone Fuchsia with Matte finish. It is mid toned fuchsia pink with blue base cool undertone to it. Many of my friends abroad raved about this shade and called them close dupe of “MAC Pleasure bomb” ( Mac Pleasure Bomb Pictures). I have pleasure bomb and therefore I can see no close dupe whatsoever as MAC Pleasure bomb lipstick is darker, brighter and has strong cool tone to it.

MAC good kisser looks warmer on me than cooler; I guess it depends on skin’s undertone, that’s how a particular colour looks different on different skin tone. There are total 5-6 shades released in this collection and Good kisser is what I really wanted in my life 😉 #naughty smile

Texture is creamy matte, it is described as matte but it doesn’t set as complete matte finish. It is creamy and smooth on lips, glides easily and it is comfortable to wear. It is creamy but not hydrating. Matte finishes are never hydrating on lips and as winter is approaching it is always recommended to keep your lips properly moisturized before applying such texture… it stays put on me straight for 5-6 hours plus without fading or flaking, but after that I saw that it loses intensity and fades away leaving a nice tint on lips. (after heavy meal).

The Pigmentation is awesome. Rich colour pay off, highly pigmented, opaque finish, one swipe and you are good to go.

1)  I don’t like the price hike of MAC products.

2) Nothing else that I don’t like about.

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- I am glad that I picked this shade, perfect for bright and on a dull day; it can create magic to your look. I won’t say it’s a must have shade, and can easily be created by mixing 2-3 shades, but hey, who have time for that? I don’t have! If you looking for a soft fuchsia pink with right amount of pink in it then you must not miss this shade. It is said to be similar to MAC LE Lipstick- Moxie.
