MAC Brush Cleanser is famous worldwide, it’s a must have product for all makeup addicts. I have been using this product to clean and disinfect my makeup brushes and thought its time I should review it too. 🙂

What Mac Claims: This one product will clean, disinfect and condition the brush fibers so that brushes will last longer. It is convenient to use and is specifically designed to extend the life of high quality brushes. Brush Cleanser leaves your brushes smelling fresh and clean, and helps shorten their drying time.

My Experience With Mac Brush Cleanser

The time I started collecting makeup brushes I realized it is very important to get a Brush Cleanser as well. MAC Brush Cleanser is quite cheap as compared to other MAC products; I think it’s cheapest of them all.  I used to wash my brushes with baby shampoo, I’m so glad I gave this brush cleanser a shot. It’s easy and saves lots of time. This Brush Cleanser is so light and lathers really well (not like any soaping agent but very mild lather).  MAC says- Brush Cleanser leaves your brushes smelling fresh and clean, and helps shorten their drying time and I too have experienced it. I brought one bottle of this cleanser, came back home and out of excitement I tried cleaning one of my eye brush. I was amazed how fast and effective it is in cleaning all dirt and stains.

This is my first ever brush cleanser therefore I have no idea how effective other are. However I am very happy with this one, this brush cleanser is AMAZING!!!  It doesn’t take a lot to take all makeup off the brushes. Even the most difficult ones like dense powder brushes, eye shadow brushes.

MAC brush cleanser not only cleanses but also conditions the brush fibers, keeps them soft, clean and fresh. It takes only 10 minutes or even less to dry my Ecotools kabuki brush, RT powder brush and RT blush brush. It keeps my brushes in great shape and looking brand new!!!

Dirty brushes can make your skin worst and cause infection. Anything that touches your skin should be clean and disinfected. Dirty brush can even lead to bacterial infections. I prefer cleaning my face brushes atleast twice a month (need to mention that I am not a regular out-goer) my most used brushes are concealer brush, blush brush and powder brushes.

How I use my Mac’s Brush Cleanser – I generally mix a little quantity with some water in a glass and let my brushes soak in it for about 5 minutes and then rinse them off and let them dry. And sometimes when I am running out of time I directly pour few drops on a soft tissue paper and swipe the bristles gently (as shown here) until when I rub the brushes, no more makeup comes off.

I am also planning to replace some of the brush cleanser in a spray bottle and use it because it will prevent wasting and I prefer to spray my bristles.

7)    Brushes become clean and fresh & feels soft and smooth just like a new brush after its washed with the cleanser.

8)    Dries super fast.

9) It also disinfects makeup brushes and keeps them germ free.

10) Its a must have for every makeup kit.

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- Cleaning makeup brushes is time consuming but with MAC’s Brush Cleanser it is easy and convenient. It’s been highly recommended by every makeup artist around the world. Although the size of the bottle is massive but it’s a must have product from MAC.
