I knew that I had to own Mac Impassioned because it is a cult shade and in the blogosphere. I took a lot of time to lay my hands on it because most of the times it wasn’t available and when it was available, I used to get confused thinking, ummmm its too bright maybe, or I have lots of pinks, I have shades close to it yada yada……but finally after getting this baby home, I realized what a fool I was to take such a long time.

My Experience With Mac Amplified Creme Lipstick Rouge A Levres Impassioned

The Mac packaging needs no description so I will skip this. It has the standard vanilla fragrance to it which is very mild. Impassioned has an amplified cream finish, however, I feel it is not as creamy as the other shades from this range are. This glides easily without tugging or pulling your lips. You have to prep your lips before because being a dark shade; it does not look good on dry lips. This shade stays creamy for some time say 1 hour, after that it settles to a semi-matte finish. It does not settle into fine lines. It’s also comfortable and light weight. It doesn’t feather or bleed!

The color is amazing; this is the prettiest pink I have in my collection. It is somewhat neon pink with slight coral and red hues, which makes it unique. It looks different in different lights but does not fail to make you feel happy about the color. Impassioned is heavily pigmented and gives an opaque coverage in one go. The application is smooth and even, it’s absolutely non-streaky. This can be used in full power or as a tint layered with a gloss depending on your comfort. I find the shade to be quite glam and looks chic with everything. This color brightens up the face immediately and will suit all skin tones.

This lasts forever. It goes on easily for 6 hours even with meals and then starts fading evenly leaving a tint behind which goes off only with a makeup remover. With this, I don’t have to worry about the touch ups because I know that I will not have a bare lips moment if impassioned is on my lips.
