It is sad that Lush Cosmetics/ Skincare closed down all their stores in India and it was all so sudden that I didn’t even get time to stock up my favorite products from Lush. Luckily I had few of them that I have been using. Lush Grease Lightening is one of the raved products which everyone talks about. Let’s see how nice it is!

What Company Claims: We’re often too upset over blemishes to stop and consider what they are; a clogged pore that’s become inflamed because of built-up dirt and bacteria. Let’s take a deep breath together. There you go. Now that we can look at this with a level head, smooth on Grease Lightning, our super effective spot-cleansing gel to get things back to normal. A gentle infusion of thyme, tea tree and rosemary cleans up problematic dirt and soothing aloe vera gel calms and hydrates irritated skin. See? Blemishes aren’t so scary after all.

How to use: Use a clean finger to dab a small amount of Grease Lightning over troubled skin. You can apply it directly to spots or on oily areas for a matte finish.

LUSH Grease Lightning “Spot treatment”

LUSH Grease Lightning Spot treatment falls under the category of “Cleanser”. It is a Tea Tree Spot treatment Cleanser in gel form meant for Oily/ acne prone skin. Now you must be thinking why I am using this… right? Well, I brought it for my brother; few zits and pimples were developing on his cheeks. The scars were stubborn and leaving spots on his face. This is kind of upsetting for someone new to college, no matter a boy or a girl!

I didn’t plan to buy anything like this from Lush but when I went to get my favorite Cleanser “Angel on bare skin” I asked SA what is good for oily and acne skin which can reduce acne marks too. He happily handed me this cute little bottle which promised to work as a Spot treatment.

As you can see, LUSH Grease Lightning is a gel, very light weight and once applied it sinks into the skin completely without leaving any sticky or greasy feeling. As name suggest it does help in lightening the grease, control excess oil mainly on T-zone area and even helps in tighten the pores!

The green grapes extracts combat the dirt that builds around spots. Carrageenan moss, seaweed, creates a smoothing base. I have seen him using it daily at night all over his face before going to the bed and guys it does really work!

First 2-3 days of using it, pimples/ acne considerably shrinked and the red splotch has faded overtime, which can take weeks or months otherwise ( well this too takes some time) ! Once the pimple is completely gone, it will make sure you are not left with any scars. I am really surprised how beautifully it removed those red bumps left afterwards. It controls white heads as well.

Thyme oil and tea tree both are antiseptics and has anti bacterial property. Although it is an acne treatment, it does not dry out skin at all.  Now that’s the reason I use it sometimes (not on whole face but right on the area where it is needed) when I get little zits occasionally during those days and it works!! I started seeing results overnight; it helps in clearing skin without striping off excess oil. I also gifted it to my BEST FRIEND after seeing how nicely it worked on me and my brother.
