Hey Everyone,
The Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 saw the launch of a new makeup range, The Lakme Absolute Lip Pout crayon sticks that come in six bright, matte lip-colors and ten creme shades. These playful colours are a definitive must have for the Winter/Festive season, claims Lakme. The matte range did not impress me though, lets see what the creme tints have to offer.

My Experience With Lakme Absolute Lip Tint Creme in Mauve Hue
The Lakme lip tints creme come in the same chubby crayon like, retractable packaging that we have seen in the Lakme matte lip tints, only difference would be that these sticks including the silver cap are glossy, wherein the matte tints have a matte textured packaging, so if you have shades from both the collections then it will be easy to locate them.
Texture wise they are very soft and creamy, in fact so creamy they they literally melt when applied with too much of pressure. The creme tints are smooth, buttery and very moisturising, you can safely skip the lip balm until and unless you have extremely dry lips. The pigmentation is average and a single swipe will just give a tinted lip balm effect but two or three swipes build up the colour perfectly. These do not have shimmer (thankfully!!!) or the hi shine effect of a gloss but they do have the right amount of glossiness that you can expect from a creme formulation. They also have a very faint caramel kind of fragrance which is barely noticeable.
The colour Mauve Hue is a beautiful berry pink shade, its a deep pink with mauve hints to it and is a shade that will suit all complexions, its a beautiful lipstick for Indian skin tones. The staying power is somewhere around 3-4 hours with mild snacking after which they start fading (at least for this shade, darker ones might stay on for a longer time) they do transfer so touch ups are required but since they are creamy lip colours, just pursing the lips together can even out the colour, so if you don’t mind the decreasing intensity of this colour, then you can go on for another 2-3 hours without touching it up (which I usually do because I hate touch ups).

Turn Off: Lakme Absolute Lip Tint Creme in Mauve Hue

“Info on a Silver Platter”
I feel that the Lakme Absolute Lip Tints Creme are quite similar to the Lakme pop tints that were launched two years back. The quality of the pop tints is slightly better but not so much that you need to shell out 800 bucks for them. These are decently priced and can be collected in a few colours for the winter season because of their moisturising comfort and of course the packaging is quite sturdy and easy to carry in a bag.
