I like wearing lip glosses , who would not like a shiny pretty pout. I have tried glosses from  LAKME  earlier. I would say they were just okay, there wasn’t anything great about them, plus the heavy glitter that they had was quite a turn off but after hearing about the gloss stylist range I was intrigued to know about it and wanted to try out this product.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH  Lakme Absolute Gloss Stylist Rust Crush

DSCN1917

I am not impressed with the shade selection because all the shades were quite bright ,mostly  neon’s. They should have included some neutrals as well. Anyway, I was confused between burgundy burn and rust crush and considering my current love for the orange family, I ended up buying rust crush.

These glosses come in a regular flat rectangular tube with a metallic grey cap and a flat sponge tip applicator.

These are creamy but non-sticky, very hydrating, doesn’t feel heavy on lips and quite pigmented. Some of the shades could give you an opaque finish in just one swipe but this is not the case with rust crush. This is a light rusty peach kind of shade which gives a beautiful colour on two swipes. It contains golden micro shimmer which is not chunky. THE Shimmer is barely visible.

The downside is that on first application it looks streaky, uneven and settles in fine lines. I have to work my way by pressing the applicator hard to even out the colour and then pack it with a second coat.

It lasts only for about 1.5  to 2 hours on me after which it disappears, without even a tint left behind but leaves my lips quite hydrated and moisturised.

TURN ON: LAKME ABSOLUTE GEL STYLIST GLOSS: RUST CRUSH

1)    THESE are very hydrating.

2)    They are Non-sticky.

3)    Un-noticeable shimmer makes it bearable for the girls who don’t like to have shimmer in their glosses.

TURN OFF: LAKME ABSOLUTE GEL STYLIST GLOSS: RUST CRUSH

1)    This particular shade settles in fine lines (I can say this because I tried burgundy burn and it did not settle).

2)    Lasting power is not impressive.

3)    THESE are Expensive.

COSMOCHICS RATING:  3/5

INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”-  These are very regular glosses which are highly priced at Rs 700. According to me they have nothing extraordinary in them. But for Lakme loyalists, these are better than their previous glosses.
