Kryolan Ikonic Gel Eyeliner Pencils :Review & Swatches

I know I am a little late to introduce you all to Kryolan Ikonic Gel Eyeliner Pencils but its fun to revive the details. When everybody started talking good about these pencils I picked 3 of them in shade – Black, Deep Brown and Midnight. My sister took midnight from me and I was left with black and deep brown which I am reviewing today. 🙂

Price: 200 INR for black and 250 INR for the rest shades.

My Experience With Kryolan Ikonic Gel Eyeliner Pencils

After seeing so many reviews online I was tempted to buy few shades for myself. These are gel eyeliner in pencil form available in 12 different shades. I tried to get them from Kryolan Kolkata store but the owner had no idea about the products. She mentioned that kryolan doesn’t make any such Ikonic eyeliner pencils!!! Every blogger was getting this Ikonic gel eyeliner pencils from MUMBAI Kryolan Stores and I had to ask one of my friends a well known blogger to get me few shades. 🙂 🙂

Ikonic gel eyeliner pencils are made in Germany and manufactured by Schwan Cosmetics. It’s not a product from the house of Kryolan. Kryolan stores just sell them (I don’t know why). Anyways let’s move on…

I am not fond of gel eyeliners, never! Because it smudges on my eyes (I have watery waterline) and it stings too. Maybelline’s gel eyeliner gave me panda eyes and irritated my eyes badly. However after checking on so many reviews online I thought to give Ikonic gel eyeliner pencils a try. Though the gel eyeliner from Maybelline is a hit and do cheack out its Review HERE

And, OMG- I am not kidding girls it is one of the best long wearing eyeliner pencils I have ever tried! I don’t use it on my waterline of course because this also irritates my eyes badly. However I always apply it on my lash line. I also love to smudge it and create soft smokey look. Try it yourself to know what I am saying. Within 3-4 seconds of application, it sets completely. It is smudge proof, water proof and water resistant. It doesn’t budge at all.

The texture is smooth and very soft. Ikonic gel eyeliner pencils would glide on the lids like a dream and not like any other eye pencil where you need to put an extra pressure to get the color on the eyelid.

The shades are highly pigmented and provide complete opacity in just one stroke. The Black one is the darkest black eyeliner I have ever come across. It is jet black. The Deep brown is also very rich in pigmentation. Ikonic gel eyeliner pencils are extremely soft and stay put almost the whole day till you remove it with some makeup remover. Once set, it doesn’t budge or smudge at all. Really awesome!!!

1)   The pigmentation is super rich and gives complete opacity in a single stroke.

2)   The Shade Black is one of the blackest liners I have ever seen.

3)   The Shade deep Brown is perfect brown shade.

4)   Sets as matte within few seconds of application.

5)   It is smudge free, budge free, water proof and water resistance.

6)   Stays for the whole day.

7)   Very hard to remove with normal cleanser, you need a heavy duty makeup remover for this.

8)   The texture is super creamy and soft.

9)   Lasts super long.

Turn Off: Kryolan Ikonic Gel Eyeliner Pencils in shade BLACK , DEEP BROWN

1)   Like other gel eyeliners Ikonic gel eyeliner pencils also irritate my eyes if used on waterline. But I am fine with it because it is not Kohl to be used on waterline. I use it only on eyelid.

2)   Not available everywhere. So availability is a concern! 🙁

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- Maybe most of you girls have already tried IKONIC gel eyeliner pencils. For me this is really very affordable pencil in the market but availability is concern. My eyes hurt when I use it on my waterline but my other two friends love to use this and they don’t face any problem. Do give it a try if you can get it.
