I have dry hair and itchy scalp at times. During my bad hair days I have absolutely no idea as to what should I use so that I can make my hair look a bit manageable! When I heard a lot about FabIndia’s Avocado Shampoo I couldn’t resist from buying it as I was really in need of a knight in a shining armor! Basically I bought this shampoo because of the presence of avocado which has high level of vitamin B. Vitamin B as we all know is very good for hair growth. Avocado also acts as an amazing moisturizer for hair.
The FabIndia outlet stores stock some really cool personal care, organics and home products!
What the product claims- enriched with naturally moisturizing avocado oil, this shampoo helps retain moisture making dry and damaged hair look healthier.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH FABINDIA’S AVOCADO SHAMPOO
The FabIndia Avocado Shampoo comes in a plastic white bottle with kind of fluorescent colour thin wrapper on it which is made of cellophane and paper i think. The shampoo is pure white and thin in consistency but not runny. It has a press button top nozzle which I like as thankfully I don’t have to open and close the cap to take out the product.
I am using this shampoo last few months now, it’s been more than 6 months now and I like this shampoo. After every wash I get squeaky clean scalp and clean hair. My hair becomes manageable and looks moisturized after every wash. It helps detangle my hair too! (only after I apply the aloe Vera Protein conditioner)
It smells of some kind of fruit maybe it’s the smell of avocado I am not sure. But I like the smell too. I am not using the avocado conditioner but I am using the Fabindia’s aloe Vera protein conditioner and I like the overall effect of it. If I don’t use the conditioner then on the day of the wash itself, some hours later my hair becomes dry.
So I think it’s an okay product for me which just gives clean scalp and hair only.
TURN ON: WITH FABINDIA’S AVOCADO SHAMPOO
1) Gives squeaky clean hair and scalp after every wash.
2) Little amount of shampoo is needed for every wash (if hair not oiled) one bottle goes a long way.
3) It has very mild and good smell.
4) I didn’t suffer from hair fall after using it.
TURN OFF: WITH FABINDIA’S AVOCADO SHAMPOO
1) Makes hair dry if I forget to condition my hair!
2) Contains SLES.
3) Though I like the press button cap but I have noticed that after few months the shampoo gets stuck to the little nozzle and it becomes really difficult to take out the shampoo from there, ultimately I have to open the cap of the bottle which I don’t like doing:(
4) It may be expensive for some people.
5) Didn’t do anything for an itchy scalp. Though it’s not claiming to reduce itchiness but still I thought that it contains citric acid and so it would do something about it.
6) I need to wash my hair twice if oiled as it doesn’t wash off the oil nicely!
COSMOCHICS RATING: 3.50/5
“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”-FabIndia avocado shampoo is an okay product for me. It just cleans my hair and scalp and gives mild fruity smell which I like. You need to try out yourself to find out how it truly is.
