So, while sitting on my really uncomfortable, a 11-year-old couch I start searching home remedies for glowing skin. Because guess what we all need that real looking glow on our face. And though we all cannot say goodbye to junk pizzas and juicy burgers, we still think that we deserve a diamond glow on face! (that old cliché)
And who am I? obviously not so different than any of you. I eat sweets, chocolates(ouch), Maggie (OMG), pani puris(real love) and what not!
But, does the search for magic glow ends? Nope…because I am so desperately consistent in becoming an overnight beauty that I just won’t stop looking and buying new products! And there I go again!
So, I came across this cute little guy (not actually a guy). Elf Makeup Mist & set and people treat it as good as Mac Cosmetics face and mist spray. Therefore, I thought I should give it a try and hence, here is Elf Makeup Mist & set review for all of you.

How To use Elf Makeup Mist
- Hold the bottle at arm’s length and spray a light layer of mist over your makeup with eyes closed.

My Experience with the product & Elf Makeup Mist & set Review
Packed in a sturdy black plastic bottle Elf Makeup Mist & set looks cute I wont lie. The cap covering the nozzle is tight enough and so consider it travel friendly packaging.
Now the part where I start using it. In just one spritz it covers quite an area but 2-3 spritz are needed to cover the face completely.
As I spritzed my face with Elf Makeup Mist & set on bare face, I can smell a weird dead algae kind of smell. Like it is just for 1 second maybe, but it is there. And each time I have to smell it which kind of puts me off. You won’t be able to smell it if you try smelling the spray through the nozzle. It only comes when you spray the mist the fist time when using. And every time the first spritz smells like that of some dead algae.
The nozzle spritzes the mist in a good way but one has to keep it a little far or it would just squirt hard on your face. The Mac Cosmetics spray is not like this and it spays very gently. But Elf Makeup Mist & set would spritz quit hard and super quickly though it covers the face nicely. It is a colourless mist.
Elf Makeup Mist & set refreshes my skin before makeup no doubt about it. It works well on my combination-oily sensitive skin. I have also used it after makeup and it helps keep the makeup to stay for longer. This is alcohol free mist and it didn’t break me out.

3) Best for both, applying before makeup and after makeup
4) Travel friendly
5) In 2-3 spritz the face can be covered
6) Apply it on your brush or sponge before applying the product to it as it would increase the longevity of makeup.
7) It dries quickly on face.
I bought the product from Online Instagram store: @beautyhorizon_in and I bought it at INR 550 for 360 ml bottle size.
Turn Off: Elf Makeup Mist & set
1) Availability in India is an issue
2) IT has parabens!
3) The nozzle is not the best and is sometimes would spritz too much quantity on your face.
4) The smell is so weird every time I use it for first spritz. Though it subsides in seconds.
“Info On A Silver Platter”: I like Elf Makeup Mist & set but since it has parabens in it I am looking for a better option. Also, the first spritz really puts me off because of the weird algae kind of smell. Though the product as per price is such a steal! Oh yes, I just confused you. 😛 Make your choice guys!
