Miscarriages can be heart breaking:

Being a mother is an exciting and an emotional journey for a woman. The baby grows beautifully in nine months, and so does the woman’s body in order to bring him/her into this loving world. When a woman is pregnant, her unborn baby becomes her topmost priority, and she should be aware of how the baby is growing inside her. But more importantly, she needs to know about all the risk factors during pregnancy and symptoms of a miscarriage so that in the worst-case scenarios, she can easily identify them. A miscarriage means loss of fetus that has not developed normally, and this can happen during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy. There are two types of miscarriages- early and late. Early miscarriage happens when a woman loses her pregnancy in the first trimester; this has become very common these days. Late miscarriage happens in the second trimester of pregnancy. Very few cases of miscarriages happen in this period, as this trimester is considered the safest.

There are no early symptoms of miscarriage. Though there are examinations that will help understand the risks of miscarriage. Some symptoms which will occur as miscarriage is happening are:

  1. Heavy vaginal bleeding is the first sign of a miscarriage where the bleeding can be light, heavy, continuous, or irregular. Visit your nearby fertility hospital in India to get your symptoms checked. But sometimes, early pregnancy bleeding may also happen with normal pregnancy, which should be checked with the doctor. If the bleeding is accompanied by pain, it is more likely to be an indication of a miscarriage.
  2. Intense adnominal pain. You may start experiencing abdominal pain or pelvic cramps or a tenacious dull ache in your lower back which may continue for several hours or up to several days.
  3. Blood clots or fluid discharge from the vagina or even greyish tissue passing through the vagina may be a sign of a miscarriage.
  4. One may also start feeling giddy or dizzy during miscarriages.
  5. Pregnancy symptoms begin to go away. The signs of pregnancy such as nausea, breast tenderness, and so forth, may start getting subdued.
  6. Unable to feel movements of the foetus is the final symptoms and this the bad. It is a symptom seen in the late miscarriage, where a woman is unable to feel the movement of the fetus.

Miscarriages can be very painful emotional trauma for any couple. But always remember that miscarriages are not the end. There are lot of couples who had their first baby after 2 or 3 miscarriages. These are the most important fact that will help a couple to try for conception again. We advise you to visit the best fertility clinic in Mumbai or any other city you belong to.

There are several mistaken beliefs regarding a miscarriage, such as ‘exercising’ while pregnant can result in miscarriage’, but there is no proven fact. Another misconception is the pregnancy period. ‘Once a woman is pregnant, she cannot have periods till her baby’s birth’. A woman who has just had a miscarriage needs a lot of physical as well as emotional support from her loved ones. A miscarriage is not the end, and nobody should lose hope.
