Hey Guys,
I remember being fascinated by sleeping packs, I think 2 years ago and desperately wanted to try one. It was one of those phases when I was really struck by the K-Beauty bug and wanted to buy every korean skin care product that I could get my hands on. At the Singapore airport during one of my trips, I saw Laneige Water Sleeping Mask but I skipped buying it due to the eye rolling that I was getting from my husband….. ;p but it haunted me, haunted me for nights and then TBS introduced it’s Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping mask and I bought it in the first week itself after it hit the stores.

My Experience With The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask
The reason I never reviewed this product was that everyone in the blogosphere loved it and I hated it so so much. It was pretty humid here in Mumbai and I felt that the texture was quite heavy and sticky to sleep with. I tried to ignore the inconvenience caused due to the texture but the results were an absolute zilch even after 1.5 weeks of consistent usage. I refrained myself from jumping on to a premature judgment and defaming a product so I just kept it aside to give it another chance and forgot about it.
I have been using The Body Shop Oils of Life range consistently for quite some time now and am quite happy with the results but I do suffer from recurring pigmentation on my forehead and around my mouth so I use depigmentation creams which tend to leave my skin dry and parched in this already dry weather. My skin needed an extra dose of moisture and that’s when I resorted to this sleeping pack and I am so glad I did.
It hydrates and replenishes the skin deeply to give a soft, plump and smooth skin. The skin feels so much better, beaming with a healthy glow. It can heal the dryest of dry skin (with additional skin care of course which can be from the same range or your regular products) and the best part is that it works it’s magic overnight so you don’t have to layer your skin with a heavy moisturizer in the daytime.
The reason it did not work for me earlier was because my skin was doing fine and it did not need extra moisture so, that additional layer over my face did not make any sense. The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask has a creamy gel kind of texture. I suggest controlling the amount of product that you apply depending upon the need of your skin. Since it sits as a thin layer over the skin for some time, don’t use this product right before hitting the bed, use it at least half an hour prior to that just so you don’t experience discomfort or stickiness.
“Info On A Silver Platter”
This is a great product to reinforce life into dull, dry, flaky skin or skin that has been weakened due to depigmentation/anti-acne treatments or if it is getting dry due to the effects of changing weather or ageing. It is not necessary that you use this pack regularly, it can be used as and when required. It has a long shelf life so you can keep it aside without worrying about it crossing the best before date.
