Today I will be reviewing a powder face wash….strange isn’t it….the very thought of what it would be like to use a powder as a face wash made me buy this product. Later I saw the advertisement on TV and got to know that it was sulphate free!!! So let’s see what it scores on our quality meter.

My Experience With Delicca powder Face Wash

When you decide to buy a face wash and don’t have a particular brand, it becomes very confusing because there are a number of options available in the market with fancy packaging and claims. But 80 percent of them have harsh chemicals especially sulphates which are very harmful to the delicate facial skin. They strip away the natural moisture from the skin, in turn making it dull dry itchy or break it out. Rest 20 percent that are natural in nature have either availability issues or are expensive. Vini Cosmetics has introduced this face wash which is sulphate free, easily available and inexpensive.

This face wash has nothing fancy about its packaging. It’s a small plastic black bottle with a flip open cap to dispense the product. It looks like those travel packs of talcum powders.

The product is in powder form which is pastel yellow in color and has a strong synthetic fragrance which I did not like at all. I thought that mixing powder and water will be a messy affair but it wasn’t. The powder dissolves easily in water making it a smooth slippery paste. It does not lather but spreads easily over the face. Did a good job at cleaning and gave a slight glow to the face. It did not dry my face but since I have normal skin I had to follow up with a light moisturizer. It will be a great face wash for oily skin types however it will not suit dry skin according to me unless you follow up with a good moisturizer. I checked the ingredient list again and found that it has turmeric powder (hence the yellow color) and milk powder which are both good for the skin.

Since I am getting good results with this face wash, I am ignoring the smell and using it. It feels quite fresh and clean after using this face wash. Did not make my skin itchy or break me out.
