Are you excited about your upcoming holiday, and have you booked your hotel and flight or train tickets? Well, the booking part is really easy, but the most daunting part of travelling is packing your luggage and so here is a Packing Guide. If you don’t know what to pack, start with a lock. A lock is crucial that you cannot afford to forget for your trip. In addition, a lock is a handy travelling essential with which you can lock your suitcase, especially if you’re travelling by train.
When buying a lock, stick to the most basic ones. But make sure you keep the keys in a safe location. Combination locks are also a great option if you often misplace the keys. When using a combination lock, make sure you don’t forget the combination. It’s better to write it down somewhere, such as a piece of paper that can be kept in your wallet or in your phone’s notepad.
Now that you have brought a lock let’s move on to the other basic items that are a must-have for your travelling.
Apparels
Of course, you won’t forget to pack your clothes for your trip, right. But make sure you have a few extra sets of clothes handy, just in case. Some hotels do not offer laundry service, and if you don’t want to waste your time washing your clothes or if they somehow get soiled, it’s better to have an extra pair, which also includes undergarments.
Comfortable footwear
Keep different pairs of footwear in your luggage. You would want to keep light for travelling, such as flip flops or shoes. If you’re going for a hike during your trip, hiking shoes are a must. For a night out or a party during the trip, you can pack your heels. Since not all hotels offer flip flops to wear in the room, you can pack a pair for yourself.
Grooming kit:
A grooming kit is a must-have for your travel luggage which can contain all the essentials such as your face wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, beard trimmer, razor, moisturisers, shampoo, sunscreen and anything else that has to do with skincare. Pack a soap and a hand sanitiser which can come in handy during your journey.
Electronics
A power bank, your phone charger and a camera charger are crucial electronic items that are a must-have. You can even carry an international sim card if you’re travelling internationally.
Medicines
Basic medicines such as flu, migraine, indigestion and immunity boosters are a must-have in your toilet kit. Before you set out on your journey, get a health check-up done to ensure you’re all fit and fine.
Waterproof file
Since you will be carrying a lot of documents such as passports and any other identity cards, keep them safe in a waterproof file. Apart from the originals, carry several photocopies of each document if the original gets misplaced.
Backpack
Carry a proper backpacking bag because it’s not wise to carry your suitcase everywhere you go upon reaching your destination. You can carry your documents, camera, chargers, phone and even food and water as you visit the different locales during your trip.
So, This is the complete packing guide to follow when you are travelling.
