My Experience With Colorbar Pro Nail Kit : Coffee Love

I like the concept of a kit comprising of 5ml minis, because that way you get 4 shades for almost the price of one and the bottles look so cute, reminds me of OPI minis. I love my coffee but not the hue on my nails. I am a person who will never buy dark browns so when this kit was sent by the brand, I wasn’t quite excited. If I were to choose my favorites from this kit then the two neutrals will be my pick, but when I swatched them I surprisingly loved the darkest color.

Since the bottles don’t have names we will start from the darkest shade to the lightest.

A Pure chocolate brown shade which is my new found love. It complements all skin tones. The texture is runny and not opaque, it needs two passes to show the true color.
Another brown which is 2 tones lighter with a slight hint of mauve. Its a pretty color but not too exciting or unique, I haven’t used it much.
A light brown with orange undertones. This a neutral shade ideal for everyday wear, esp for workplace
A flesh-toned shade with very fine dull gold shimmer. This is my second favorite from the kit because the hint of shimmer makes it look different from the regular nude shades.

The texture of the two dark shades is thin and color shows up only in two passes. The lighter shades are thicker and turn out to be opaque in a single stroke, however, two coats are still required for a neat finish. The applicator is pretty average but manages a tidy application. These paints dry quickly and last for 3-4 days without chipping. They have a glossy finish and I love the fact that they don’t turn my nails yellow.

Summing up, these are average nail polishes at a great price. Nothing extraordinary but nothing to dislike either. If you love hues of browns then this is a must buy, also it makes a perfect gifting option for a person who is not into bright funky colors, so this will be a safe bet because there is nothing to dislike about the shades.
