We all know the purpose of eye shadows, blushes and how they are used. But when I came across this bar which stated that it could be used as a highlighter as well, I quickly purchased it as I was actually looking for a highlighter to try.

Usually highlighters are used to make the facial features prominent. Like the cheekbones, the nose bridge and also under the brow bone. It’s basically not hiding but bringing out your best features!

How To Apply: Sweep the Face Blender Brush through all five shades and dust lightly on cheekbones after blush. Focus on applying shimmer on the top of cheekbones.
As an eye shadow, it goes on smoothly and stays on – does not powder off into your eyes. To add a highlight to eyes, apply the lightest shade in the compact just under brow bone with fingertips or the Eye Smudge Brush.

My Experience With The Colobar shimmer bar baked eyeshadow/ blusher in Rosey Glaze 001

As the name suggest this bar can be used both as an eye shadow and a blush. I have used this as an eyeshadow, blush and as a highlighter as well and it worked nicely all ways!   The packaging itself is very classy and looks like a glass but as you tap on it you know that it’s a good quality plastic 😛

I am just in love with the colors in this bar. Each and every color is unique and can be used on different occasions. The texture is rich, silky and not powdery. It gets picked up pretty easily with fingers.

It’s decently pigmented and with a primer it stays on my eyes for as long as 3 hours maybe and as a highlighter it stayed for almost 5 hours. I love it as a blush as it stays for the longest. The shimmer particles are present in it but are very subtle. The best part is it didn’t crease.

Let’s talk about each shade in detail. From the top.

1) White: it looks pure white in the bar but as you swatch it at the back of the hand it gives a dull white shade. I use it in the inner corner of my eyes to pop and to make my eyes look bigger, awakened to be correct.

2) Grey: It looks grey but when swatch gives a nice pearly white shimmery shade which is perfect for brow bones! I didn’t understand the swapping of the above two as they look different in the bar but anyways both work quite decently!

3) Purple: Frosty purple shade. Not as dark as it looks in the bar. Can be used for both morning and evening events. Love it as an eyeshadow.

4)  Peach: A beautiful peach shade with a hint of pink. A perfect blusher shade!

5) Red: Looks deep red in the bar however its reddish pink shade that’s buildable and looks gorgeous on face no matter you use it as a blush or an eyeshadow.

1) Though the shimmer is subtle still it won’t be liked by people who don’t like shimmer at all.

2) It is expensive.

3) Somehow it didn’t stay on my eyes for long!
