I started using CLARINS BLUE ORCHID Face Treatment oil at the beginning of this year. This product was suggested by Dr Neeraj. He is a makeup artist and most of you must know him, he is the owner of the blog- “Beauty Traveller”. My skin acts weirdly depending on the weather. Most time of the year my cheeks are very dehydrated, and sensitive. I can see redness all over and can get tanned easily. Whereas my T-zone is normal to oily in summers and look greasy very often. #Confusedme *_*

My Experience With CLARINS BLUE ORCHID Face Treatment oil

I love this oil, all thanks to Neeraj! The appearance of my skin has changed after using this face treatment. It is a miracle in the bottle.

I have started seeing noticeable difference in my skin. My skin is clean and hydrated. It brought a lovely glow to my skin right after the first day I used it. It says, this face treatment hydrates and restores vitality and radiance to dehydrated skin, and I totally agree!

Especially during winters my skin is parched, dry and dehydrated, the condition is so worse that the skin starts peeling off due to extreme dryness sometimes.

CLARINS BLUE ORCHID Face Treatment oil definitely helped me a lot last winter. I get discoloration and uneven skin tone on cheeks due to dehydration. During my session with Clarins, the SA tested my skin and told me that I have dehydrated skin not dry skin (confused :-?? :-I ) and therefore I should go with BLUE ORCHID Face Treatment oil.

There are three different treatment oils for various skin types

Clarins Lotus face treatment oil- Oily, combination skin type.

CLARINS BLUE ORCHID Face Treatment oil- Normal- Dehydrated skin.

Clarins Santal Face Treatment Oil- Dry skin.

Dry skin and dehydrated skin are often misunderstood. When your skin feels dry, you may naturally assume that it is dry. But it’s possible that it’s actually dehydrated and in need to have water. Therefore if your skin is dry, it means your skin lacks oil.

As mentioned above about my weird skin condition, it sometimes feels oily around my t zone area and my face looks greasy. That’s because my skin is dehydrated from within. When your skin is dehydrated it tends to create more oil to balance the missing water in skin.

This also causes breakouts, excess oil, dry patches, dry rashes, irritations and tends to feel oily and dry at the same time. Now I know why my epidermis looks oily and greasy in summers and I get dry rashes around my cheeks and forehead…all that is because of dehydration. I have this problem of getting uneven patches all over on my skin since I was a child. 🙁 🙁

CLARINS BLUE ORCHID Face Treatment oil acts as a catalyst which helps in restoring moisture and maintain hydration i.e. water balance.

It revitalizes moisture-depleted skin. Hazelnut Oil softens and smoothes with sealing in the moisture to help minimize the appearance of fine lines. I can’t comment on fine lines as I don’t have any noticeable fine lines but I saw how nicely it worked on open pores.

The oil helps shrinking my open pores (which was another new concern about my skin), not immediately but gradually.

During my purchase I was seeing the bottle and the quantity of the product, now I know why my friends were right. It lasts very long. I have almost used it for more than 7-8 months and you can see 70%-75% is still left. The bottle is cute; it has a glass dropper as you can see in the picture below.

How I Use It- I need only 2 drops in summer and 3-4 drops during winters.

You can use it day and night, I prefer night. Sometimes I apply it directly after cleansing and toning and go to bed. And sometimes I mix 2 drops with my favorite moisturizer and simply press against your skin with light hand 4-5 times all over face and neck. ( DO NOT massage.)

You can also mix it with toner and apply in the same method… DAB DAB DAB NO Massaging!

Texture and how it feels on my skin- The oil is very light and gets absorb into skin in 5 minutes. Does not leave any greasy or oily feeling, although during summers of Kolkata, it takes little time to sink into skin but never mind I can leave it like that whole night.

It’s a 100% pure plant extracts which makes it very light weight and has active ingredients. Oily skin ladies do not get afraid to use it. This oil never broke me out rather aided my zits and rashes quickly.

It has even out my skin, maintained moisture level and kept it hydrated. It also reduced the size of open pores and gives a healthy looking skin. The fragrance of the oil is pure aromatic. It calmed and relaxed my senses. Before applying I sniff my hand and then apply. I can feel that its fragrance helps in calming my senses.

The first time I used this oil, next day morning my dry patches around my chin area disappeared and my skin looked brighter and healthier.

I was so happy and glad that I picked up “a magic in a bottle”.
