Hello to all my beautiful ladies :D,

As a beauty blogger it’s our job to try and test new products to provide our best views on a product. Everyone has their good, best, favorite and bad experiences. Currently I am trying and testing loose powders but always come back to my favorite one from “The Body Shop”. This is a brand with which I am always happy. They have amazing body butters, my favorite white musk perfume, few of my favorite skincare products and my absolute all time favorite loose powder ^_^

My Experience With The Body Shop Loose Powder

I already finished my 1st tub of TBS loose powder and I liked it so much that I had to pick another one. IF you all remember last time I reviewed MAC Select sheer loose powder (Reviewed here ) and kept complaining that it does nothing to control my sweat, well TBS loose powder does the job nicely.

I enjoy using this loose powder more than my Mac one! Although everyone rave about MAC loose powder but I somehow come back to Tbs. I have heard people saying loose powder can clinge to dry flakes and enhance wrinkles and that a press powder is safer for dry skin. But I don’t find that to be correct, makeup has no rules and conditions, you can use anything you are comfortable with of course the right process is important.

I have dry-combination skin as you all know but it never creates any skin problems like flakes and dryness. Other things to remember is that a good moisturizer is very important for both dry and oily skin so that it can get a proper prep before you go and apply any type of makeup.

The Body Shop Loose Powder is ultra smooth and silky to touch. The time I swatched the powder I realized it has micro shimmers ( like any other loose powder has) in it which doesn’t show up on skin when blended but it leaves a nice brightening sheen on face/ or wherever it is applied. The TBS SA once mentioned this to be a very good powder to control shine and she said that this would give matte finish with a luminous effect. And guess what! She was right!!!

Honestly speaking I am pretty surprised how it performed. I used this to set my BB creams, my MAC face and body foundation ( Review here ) and concealer. It doesn’t provide any coverage but leaves my skin looking alive, balanced and awakened. It reduced the dull and shiny look and controlled sweat and shine for up to 3-4 hours.

But the packaging is not ideal to use in a hurry but that’s how every loose powder packaging is like.  I am used to it now. Product wastage is definitely a factor here.

The Body Shop Loose Powder

This loose powder has quite large holes which makes it easy to deposit good quantity of powder if I shook it. Best to use with large fluffy powder brush. I use my Real Technique face powder brush or Clairs Powder brush. It acts best as setting powder/ finishing powder after foundation or for setting any concealer. It doesn’t block my pores or enhance it.

The micro shimmers gives a nice and very subtle sheen to my skin that makes my skin glow.

The Body shop is said to be all natural and organic but I am sure cosmetics products are never meant to be 100% natural-organic or chemical free. I am pleased that it caused no irritation or break-outs.  It acts best to control oil and sweat and keeps my skin shine free, therefore oily skin ladies can also use it!

Turn Off: The Body Shop Loose Powder

1) The packaging leads to product wastage.
