Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Lightening Lotion

I have used a lot of biotique products, and I am an avid user of it.

I have used its skincare, hair and body products and liked it.

Today I will be reviewing Biotique’s “BIO MORNING NECTAR” (flawless lightening lotion) for ‘face and neck’.

Now this product should not be confused with a similar one which is “BIO MORNING NECTAR LOTION”( NEW BORN BABY MOISTURE LOTION, 100% SOAP FREE) which is for the whole body and works as a good moisturizer.

This morning nectar is organically pure and preservative free.

I had already used the moisturizer for the whole body which did quite well so when I saw this morning nectar for face and neck I didn’t hesitate and bought it instantly.

I used it for almost 20 days but wasn’t very happy with it.

WHAT THE PRODUCT CLAIMS

This lightening lotion replaces natural oils and replenishes lost moisture, as it brightens skin for a noticeably fairer complexion.

INGREDIENTS: baheda(terminalia belerica)2.0%, methi (trigonella foenum graecum) 1%, madhu(honey(mel)1.5%, ankurit gehun(triticum valgare)3.0%, kusumbhi tail(carthamus tinctorious)3.0%, vach(acorus calamus)0.5%, lotion base q.s.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH BIOTIQUE BIO MORNING NECTAR FLAWLESS LIGHTENING LOTION

I applied this lotion on a cleansed face and neck. The lotion comes in the regular Biotique bottle, cream colour body with green cap. The lotion smells so Ayurveda and like a medicine (like a cough syrup to be precise).  As I poured the lotion on my palm I liked its consistency.

A moisturizer for the face and neck should be a little thin so that it can spread quickly and comfortably, which it did well.

But as soon as I applied this on my face, it gave my already oily sensitive acne prone skin a little greasy effect which obviously I didn’t like!

Thinking that maybe I applied more than the needed quantity next day I applied it again taking just the little amount but again got the same result.

However when I applied it on my hands and neck it kept that part moisturized for quite some time. Therefore, though I brought it to apply it on my face but I actually finished the lotion applying it on my neck and hands which are a little drier than my face.

It didn’t break me out (when applied on face) but, I didn’t notice any brightening of the skin.

TURN ON: BIOTIQUE BIO MORNING NECTAR FLAWLESS LIGHTENING LOTION

1)    Good moisturizer for hands and neck.

2)    Though the bottle is boring but it’s hygienic as the amount can be poured out of it without any inconvenience.

3)   Travel friendly. It can be carried everywhere as the cap is tight enough.

(Sorry I was unable to experience any other goodness )

TURN OFF: BIOTIQUE BIO MORNING NECTAR FLAWLESS LIGHTENING LOTION

1)   No brightening and lightening was experienced after using it, as promised!

2)   The smell is so weird as if I have applied some medicine.

3)   Not suitable for oily face as it gives a greasy feeling on my face.

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- I THINK YOU SHOULD GIVE THIS PRODUCT A MISS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE AN OILY SKIN. A better choice would be to buy its ‘NEW BORN BABY MOISTURE LOTION’, which is meant for the whole body.
