2 best baby hair shampoos that I tried and recommend (Above is pic of rest items that I used 🙂 )
Mom and baby posts on Cosmochics is more like a “Maternity Journal” for me. I want to write about everthing from breastfeeding to maternal health. However, as time is a constraint now, I choose topics carefully and write about them so that it can help readers.
Today’s discussion is on the 2 best baby hair shampoos that I tried and would recommend to every mom. Always remember that it is okay to try and see what products works on your baby but you should discontinue using a product if any skin irritation occurs. So be vigilant.
1) Spoo Tear Free Baby Shampoo- 125 ml (INR 258): You can buy it here
My baby’s doctor recommended it to us and I can’t thank him enough. This is by far the best baby hair shampoo! It is very soft specially formulated for very fine hair. Its gentle no-tears formula does not cause irritation to baby’s eyes and is Sulphate free.
It gives a squeaky clean baby scalp. It is designed for babies age between 3 to 8 Months. It helped my baby getting rid of cradle crap. So my baby had thick flaky scalp that was looking like dandruff but my doctor assured that it is cradle crap and most babies are born with it. Doctors call it infantile seborrheic dermatitis. It clears up with time but I wanted to get rid of it soon and it actually looked weird to me.
My doctor then suggested Spoo shampoo. The trick is to rub some quantity of Spoo shampoo on baby head and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then give your baby a full bath, head to toe. I am happy that Spoo worked so well in getting rid of this thing.
What use to bother me was the fact that if it doesn’t clear up then it gets severe and can get itchy. I will do a full detailed post on “How should I treat my baby’s cradle cap” , very soon!

2) Sebamed Children’s Shampoo – 50 ml (INR 184.00): You can have a look at it here
Like many other Sebamed products I like Sebamed shampoo too. You can read full post on “Top 5 Sebamed baby products for dry and sensitive skin!“
Baby Sebamed Children’s Shampoo comes with pH value of 5.5 . It is 100% soap and alkali free. It didn’t dry out my babies scalp and is free of colorants, nitro-mochus compounds, formaldehyde, nitrosamines and dioxin. In addition to this, this can be used on new-borns as well. It promotes a healthy scalp for the growth of healthy hair.
I love the above two products a lot. Do let me know which products do you use for your baby.

I love Sebameds products. The baby shampoo also sounds like a hit product from them.
