9 to 5 Crease-less Lip Balm, Lakme Ginger Suit: Price, Review, Swatches

A lip product with SPF is as good as a sunscreen with the sun protection factor. Our lips need protection and care too and hence these lip colors from Lakme with SPF 15 are a total savior. Lakme 9 to 5 crease–less balms are available in six different shades and I brought home Ginger Suit which looked like a perfect n*de shade to me.

My Experience With 9 to 5 Crease-less Lip Balm, Lakme Ginger Suit

A light weight packaging and a see through Lakme Ginger Suit tube makes this lip balm look neat and cool. One just needs to pull out the cap and start applying the lip color directly on to your lips.

This particular shade Ginger Suit is the right shade for me as it has the perfect hint of color that doesn’t look over the top. When swatched the shade looked pink but on my lips sets as a natural when applied in a thin layer and a nice pinkish brown when applied in thick layer. It delivers a nice candy-caramel smell that won’t bother sensitive nose at all.

I like that on my lips it sets as a perfect n*de shade and looks quite natural.

Yes, it’s a perfect shade for an office wear and since it contains vitamin E, olive oil and jojoba oil it gave nourished and moisturized lips. It is a non sticky tinted balm. The SPF 15 is an added advantage as I always prefer lip products with sun protection.

I get a wear time of 2-3 hours if I am not eating anything in between. These are great as lip balms as they moisturize well and give nice tint. I wasn’t happy with the other shades available in this range and really freaked out looking at few of them. Thankfully Ginger suit looked good and has worked nicely for me.

1) hmm….Full ingredients list?

2) It does the work of tinted lip balm only for me; I think it’s a bit pricey.

3) Not a good option if you have pigmented lips.

4) Most available shades in this range would wash out the medium, wheatish & dusky skin tones.

COSMOCHICS RATING: 3/5 (rating for this shade, rest I haven’t tried but swatched and they didn’t impress me)

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”– Lakme Ginger Suit is a nice non-sticky shade for an everyday wear. It is moisturizing and protects lips with SPF 15. A nice lip balm with a perfect tint I would say. But I won’t be trying any other shade from this range unless they are on discount :p (maybe)
