My 10 Best Colored Eye Pencils

“The Eyes are the Windows to the Soul” and to highlight our eyes many brands keep coming up with their products to make the eyes look like the most beautiful gift we have and stunning in an easy way.

My second love after lipstick are colored eye pencils as I think it is the easiest tool to highlight the eyes easily and in one go it acts as a liner and kajal and if smudged properly can work as great base for powder eye shadows.

My makeup vanity consists of mostly brown, black, blue, turquoise, eye pencils as I think these shades really highlight my eyes well.

So today I am going to share My 10 Best Colored Eye Pencils that I use most of the times. And here we go…..

1) Maybelline colossal kajal in Black:-

This eye pencil comes in a yellow twist up packaging, with the name written on it in black. This is the most used eye pencil by me as the shade is perfect jet black and it glides super smoothly on eye lids. It can be used both as eyeliner and kajal. And it stays pretty for 6 hours without smudging. This eye pencil is just perfect for waterline too.

2) Maybelline colossal kajal in Turquoise: –

After the huge success of black kajal Maybelline launched the shade Turquoise! It is a nice teal blue shade. The packaging is almost same like the black one except the name printed on the pencil is similar to the shade turquoise. This eye pencil is just perfect to create a safe glam look. If you not confident with colored eye shadows then this eye pencil is just perfect for you. The color stays for 5 hours on my eyes and yes it is smudge proof too. It stays pretty well on my waterline too.

3) Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in brown: –

I personally don’t like the eye conic black eye pencil of Lakme as I didn’t find it a perfect jet black as it seems in the ad (Kareena’s) ….so I didn’t have much expectation from this brand.

But when Lakme launched some colored eyeconic pencils, first I thought to give it a miss but as I wanted a brown colored eye pencil in my stash I thought to give it a try.

And surprisingly it is far better than the black one on me. The eye pencil comes in a twist up black packaging. The pencil glides super smoothly on eye lids and it is just perfect for “Soft Smokey” look. The eye pencil stays pretty well on my waterline too.

4) Lakme Eyeconic  Kajal in White: –

After the brown one I grabbed the white one from the same range of colored Eyeconic eye pencils of Lakme. I basically use the white one very less as it is a shade which one has to use very carefully.

As the shade is white I found it to be perfect for highlighting the inner corner or tear duct portion of an eye or it can be used to highlight the inner side of the lower lash line.

5) Faces long wear eye pencils in Forest Green: –

If anyone is looking for a perfect green colored eye pencil then I would recommend “Faces “.

A perfect green shade that is named “forest green” which goes pretty well with any colored eyes. It is a wooden pencil which requires sharpening each time.

The pencil is super waxy smooth and glides at one go without pulling the eye lid. It has some subtle shimmer in it that really enhances the green shade. Although sharpening causes wastage of the product but still I don’t mind it!

Price: – Rs.349/- for 1.15gm.

6) Colorbar eye pencil in Flirty Turq: –

After green it’s time for a gorgeous blue shade. “Colorbar’s flirty Turq”. Although it is named as “Turq” but I found it to be a deep blue color eye pencil. The pencil is wooden and needs sharpening every time. The pencil glides super smoothly on eye lids!

Price:- Rs.450/- for 1.1gm

7) Rimmel scandaleyes water proof kohl Kajal in Brown: –

As I have matte brown eye pencil (lakme eyeconic in brown) I wanted a brown that has subtle shimmers in it and Rimmel scandaleyes in brown is one that I found just perfect for myself. The shade is a mixture of brown and copper that really gives a nice soft look. It is also a wooden pencil that requires sharpening.

Price:- Rs.315/- for 1.2gm

8) Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil in Denim Blue: –

This one is a matte blue eye pencil. It is a kohl kajal eye pencil that stays pretty well on my waterline without fading. The pencil is also a wooden one. And it is a true matte blue shade!

9) Avon Glimmersticks in Black Ice: –

After a matte jet black it’s time for a shimmery black eye pencil too and Avon Glimmersticks in “Black Ice” is just perfect to fulfill the requirement of a shimmery black eye pencil. The pencil comes with a twist up packaging thus no wastage of product. It glides smoothly on eyes too.

10) Avon Glimmersticks in Twilight Sparkle:-

Last but not the least is the Avon Glimmersticks in “Twilight Sparkle”. A stunning shimmery blue eye colored pencil that comes up with twist up packaging. The shade is just perfect for night wear mostly and it can easily smudge to get a nice shimmery Smokey blue look.

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER“- All the above mentioned eye pencils are really good for upper eyelids but only few among the 10 eye pencils are good for waterline.

Maybelline colossal in black and blue, Lakme eyeconic in brown and white, Rimmel soft kohl kajal eye liner in denim blue are just perfect for using on upper eyelids and waterline too, while Rimmel scandaleyes, Avon Glimmersticks in black ice and twilight sparkle, Colorbar flirty turq and faces eye pencil in forest green are only good for upper eye lids.

It is due to the presence of shimmers in these eye pencils that might cause irritation if applied on waterline. The reason why these are still on my top 10 list is that these eye pencils are just perfect for using as a colored eyeliners on upper eyelids than the liquid colored eyeliners. The colored eye pencils always gives a nice soft look while liquid eyeliners gives a sharp edgy look.
