My Experience With The Body Shop Vitamin C facial Cleansing Polish

Recently, I realized that my face is looking literally dead and lifeless and so I was determined to add some new skincare to my regimen to give a boost to my facial skin and all thanks to the body shop sale which took place again and hence I hauled from them yet again! But this time the main concentration was not on the sale but to buy something that really works and brings life. I heard quite cool reviews of the vitamin c range and knowing that vitamin c is an important ingredient that should be used which helps bringing  healthy glow by repairing and revitalizing our skin!

So coming to the face wash now. It’s not a normal face wash. It is gel like and consists of several small beads that can be felt while washing the face. The presence of these beads helps getting rid of impurities and dead cells on the face and I could see the difference, a radiant face in the first wash itself!

The orange tube with a flip top cap is sturdy and travel friendly. It smells highly of oranges and immediately as I opened the cap I got transported to some garden of oranges! The smell is so refreshing that it feels almost like summers! I don’t have too many blemishes but there were one or two that caught my attention and after using this tube for 20 days I have seen that the blemishes have lightened a little. Not sure how it would work on very prominent ones. But this amazing tube definitely took care of the lighter ones!

So it lathers well, smells great and brightens my skin to some level but that is obviously short lived, I don’t glow the whole day like I glow the first 15 minutes after washing my face!

I wash my face day and night i.e. twice in a day. I have oily, acne prone, sensitive skin but this has not agitated my skin in any way. But I do feel some sensation when I use it thrice, therefore I have limited the use till two wash per day. Also, since there are beads in it I always wash it by not applying too much pressure by hand on the face. But if you have normal skin then you can use it with some pressure as well.

1) I love the fragrance.

2) It actually brightens the face.

3) The packaging is great and travel friendly.

4) I don’t have to invest in a scrub separately as it’s a two in one product for me. ( Hurray)

5) Regular usage has definitely made my skin soft.

6) It’s great for my oily, acne prone, sensitive skin. (Please note my skin is neither hyper sensitive nor is treated by any kind of retinols, so if you fall under these two categories use it at your own discretion)

7) It definitely enhances the radiance as it promised (however that is very short lived)

8) The quantity provided is great and as just a little is needed every time, one tube goes a long way!

9) It didn’t break me out or dry out my face to an extent that a moisturizer can’t take care of.

10) The Body Shop doesn’t test on animals!!!! Extra points! :*

Turn Off: The Body Shop Vitamin C facial Cleansing Polish

1) It might be expensive for some! (Though, it works like a face wash and a scrub so I don’t need to invest in a separate product & also I got it on a discount!)

2) Over doing may hurt some skin types.

3) Also I feel this will dry out the dry skinned, so it’s not for all skin types. (Take care of the dryness if you feel any by using a moisturiser)

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- As I washed my face first time with this cleansing polish, I was like transported to the garden of oranges! It smells like a fresh fruit and the smell is very soothing. I feel very fresh while using it. Not to forget it does help attaining radiant clear exfoliated skin!
