Splurge’s Handmade Body Polish: Review & Swatches

The other day I was watching the IIFA Awards on YouTube (Yeah I never watch it on TV because (1) I never switch it on at the right time (2) My style of watching is not possible on TV I am like watch…..pause….droooooooool……rewind…forward YouTube 😛 so yeah!!!   😉 ) Anyways so it’s just me or have you guys also noticed the kinda skin these stars have…. It’s like porcelain, buffed and polished, smooth, slippery skin…OMG!!!!!! Convinced myself saying… “Don’t worry it’s just coz of the lights”…..jumped out of my bed and examined my skin under every possible light I had at my place but “naaaaaaahhhhhhh I wasn’t even close” ….what ya????? I use body washes, scrubs, and lotions ….all waste?????????

My Experience with Splurge’s Body Polish

This body polish comes in a simple little plastic tub with a white cap. The directions are printed at the bottom of the tub. The moment you open the lid, you see a caramel colored sugary scrub with some oils glistening in between the scrub particles.

It has a very strong aroma like ayurvedic oils and smells dominantly of lavender oil. It’s definitely not for those with sensitivity towards strong smells. I personally like the aroma of lavender essential oil because it’s therapeutic and rejuvenating.

I was always of the opinion that scrubs and polishes render more or less the same results but I was wrong. There is a plethora of body polishes available in the beauty world but nothing can beat the effectiveness of natural home made products, but the catch is who has the time or patience to make them. If you get the same goodness ready made without any artificial elements, it’s definitely a bonus.

All that has to be done is take some product and start rubbing it in circular motion on to the desired area.. This polish is sugar based hence not very abrasive but still you have to be gentle while scrubbing else you can end up having a bruised skin. It scrubs the skin and dissolves after a while leaving the oils behind.Take a quick shower with your favourite soap or body wash and moisturize.

Coming to the results, this product worked effectively and after the very first use itself, I saw smooth, shiny, soft, nourished skin. It gives a new feel to the skin. Removes the dead cells and gives a supple skin just like a baby. You will not be able to stop touching yourself again and again I bet because I’ve been doing that (lol). Scrubs can rip of the natural moisture of the skin making it dry but the oils present in this polish ensure that your skin is properly moisturized and nourished.
