Maybelline Color Tattoo By Eye Studio- Bold Gold: Review, Swatches, EOTD.

As in my last post I discussed how seriously I am involved with the new cheap range launched by Maybelline! Not just the cheap prices, but they also provide some very high quality cosmetics, loved by all women worldwide! The best release when it comes to eyeshades is their color tattoo 24 hour eye shadows!

PACKAGING: it’s packed in a glass pot and the cap is at the back! I love it as I can have a nice lid as well as the transparent jar makes it an easier task to grab the color quickly from my makeup bag!

SHADE: Available in various colorful and fun shades I brought home the “BOLD GOLD” beauty! It looks a little dusty gold in the pot but when its swatched on an area it came out to be a nice “ yellow bright gold” with little gold shimmer as well, which is comfortable and does not irritate the eye lid or the eye! It is a shade which would looks great as an alone eye shadow or can be mixed with other shades as well. You just need to be creative enough to get your kind of look!

TEXTURE: It feels very soft and light on skin and gives a smudge proof finish.

PIGMENTATION: its great pigmentation wise as well. I can get a nice color with its one swipe and it is easily visible on the lids as well! As the name suggests it’s quite bold but not weird at all! It’s not very opaque but its buildable, you need more than the required quantity of it if want an intense opaque shade.

STAYING POWER: Though it promises 24 hours wear, it did give a wear time of 5-6 hours with little to no creasing or fading. The staying power can be increased if an eye primer is used! I am not complaining here as the wear time if not 24 hours is actually from the time a party starts till it ends!
