Mac Cremesheen Crosswires A72 Lipstick : Review & Swatches

Mac Cremesheen Crosswires is quite a popular shade and everyone is crazy about it i guess! I somehow used to go to mac especially for this shade, try it out, thinking that i won’t be able to pull it off  never bought it!

So every time I used to come back with something else(remember the not-coming-empty-handed rule) but I never used to feel happy about leaving my crosswires in the store. One fine day i decided that i will get it without thinking twice and  I am so glad I purchased it:)

MY EXPERIENCE WITH Mac Creemsheen Crosswires A72 Lipstick 

Mac Cremesheen Crosswires a perfect texture. They are creamy, neither too matte nor too glossy, pigmentation can vary according to the shade. In case of crosswires it is quite pigmented. Just one swipe is enough to cover slightly pigmented lips whereas two swipes give an opaque coverage. I personally like using only one swipe of it for two reasons, firstly, it gets too bold for me on double swipe and secondly, it settles in fine lines 🙁

Mac Cremesheen Crosswires lipstick when  compared to other cremesheens is a little drying and it will do justice only when you exfoliate and hydrate your lips before using this lipstick.  Apart from this fact it is comfortable to wear and doesn’t feel heavy.

It is a beautiful coral pink shade and I love it, it will suit fair to medium skin tones. It’s an all season shade. my favorite ways of applying it is either single swipe which gives a deep pink shade with coral peeking through it perfect for special occasions, or  I apply  it sheered out which makes it a lighter coral pink for everyday wear. Double swipe is just not for me because it becomes neon’ish. But I think it will be liked by people who prefer bold shades but beware, it settles in fine lines if layered.
It stays on me for good two hours with food and drink otherwise it stays for almost 3 hours after which it starts fading and leaves a tint behind that lasts for another hour or so.

TURN OFF: Mac Cremesheen Crosswires

1)    Transfers on everything. It’s there on my glass every time I sip a drink!

2)    Slightly drying need to exfoliate lips before applying it.

3)    Settles in fine lines when layered.

4)    Pricey!
