Lakme Absolute Creme Lipstick Plum Forever

Yes I am a gloss person and I don’t like matte finish lipsticks by any means but once in while I do attack on lipsticks! Specially creamy and soft textured lipsticks, which are light wear and stays long.

Same is story with my latest purchase plum forever!!!

 MY EXPERIENCE WITH LAKME ABSOLUTE CRÈME LIPSTCIK PLUM FOREVERL

Wanted to try classic red kind of shade from this range but as I swatched the plum forever over my wrist I was totally sold. The shade is not very dark purple like that of an egg -plant and thank God for that as I needed something sober yet nicely pigmented. The lipstick comes in black metallic glossy finish packaging, which looks quite classy. I have tried reds a number of times, I told my greedy and bias soul which is always trying to find red in everything! Even a small polka dot on a black sari wins me over! How stupid of me!  Ahhh!!!

Coming back to the lipstick review, It has been a long time since I have used a different shade and therefore I went forward and bought the shade from the purple family! The texture is so nice, creamy and smooth, it’s quite pigmented too. Though its creme lipstick but it sets as matte on my lips. The formula of this lipstick is soft and creamy that it glides on smoothly. But it wears for 3.5 hours and starts losing its intensity after this time:(      it does leave behind a plum stain which remains on my lips for quite some time.

It’s very light weight and gives a completely opaque coverage with excellent colour payoff .

This will keep your lips moisturized.

The only thing that agitated me is that it’s highly transferable and settles a bit in fine lines! I sipped my coffee and there the stain lying on the cup and thankfully I am already married and not as good looking as Dia Mirza otherwise that stain would have made someone as cute as R Madhavan to take that cup home and show to his friends ostentatiously!

(Remember the scene from Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein !R madhavan and diya mirza??? Ring a bell? Phew.. Anyways…lets discuss the turn on and turn offs)

1)    NICE COLOUR PAYOFF…just one swipe is okay for me and if I want to have a darker shade I just swipe it twice!

2)   The lipstick is very moisturizing.

3)   It’s very light weight.

4)   Formula of LAKME ABSOLUTE CRÈME LIPSTCIK PLUM FOREVER is soft and creamy which helps it glides smoothly.

TURN OFF: LAKME ABSOLUTE CRÈME LIPSTCIK PLUM FOREVER

1)    Stays for not more than 3.5 hours on me! (I haven’t tried any other shade from this range so cannot comment on others but this shade on me was short lived, but yes the stain was there for some time more.).

2)    Keeping the cost of the lipstick in mind I think it didn’t do justice.

It is an expensive option. (Office stylist range is much better in terms of staying power& Cost! REVIEW HERE )

3)    It can be a little drying and sticky option for you if your lips are already dried.

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- They have beautiful shades in this range I like the finish of these lipsticks and these are extremely light weight. Though they have low staying power but the soft and smooth texture plus point cannot be ignored:)
