Lakme 9 To 5 Lip Colour Office Stylist Oak Table: Review & Swatches

Lakme launched its office stylist collection and without a doubt I wanted to give it a try reason being if it’s an office collection, the shade range is going to be interesting and it surely was ….all pretty peaches, pinks, pastels and nudes. I picked up a few shades and one of them was ‘oak table’ about which we will discuss today.

WHAT PRODUCT CLAIMS: Lakme Nine to Five brings you a range of shades that sit on your lips all day long. Enriched with Vitamin E; it
conditions your lips & softens them with wheat germ oil. So, perk those soft, smooth lips with a touch of matte.

How to Apply
Step 1: Stretch the lips and start at the
centre, putting on the lipstick to the
corners.
Step 2: Blot the lipstick with a tissue.
Make sure the lipstick has not smudged
over the line of your lips

MY EXPERIENCE WITH Lakme 9 To 5 Lip Colour Office Stylist Oak Table

The formulation of these lipsticks is average because even though they feel soft and smooth initially during application, they do tend to dry out your lips after some time and have a tendency to settle into fine lines. They are soft creamy mattes and not the kinds which feel caked or uncomfortable during application. Unlike other mattes, they are moisturising but after some time it makes my lips dry.
About oak table shade, it is a very pretty peachy Brown shade with gold shimmer in it. This shade will suit all skin tones. Although I like the shade but the shimmer is a turn off for me because after some time say after about 3 hours the colour starts fading and the glitter becomes even more visible. It stays on my lips for good 5 hours (3 hours fresh and 2 hours after fading). It definitely doesn’t last as long as 8 hours but still 5 hours duration is a descent time.

1)   I didn’t understand the need and presence of glitters in the shade.

2)   This shade settles in fine lines after some time:(

and its a huge turn off!!!

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- Even though I did not like the glitter , I still liked the lipsticks and I would definitely purchase a few more because of the shade range plus they have shades without glitter also so I am definitely gonna try those. Another factor is the price which does not hurt at all!!!
