Today I will be talking about the Khadi age control Sandalwood cream. Basically I have no story behind the product because I did not buy it. It was a gifted stuff. My first ever from the Khadi range of products but since I knew that they are handmade and 100% natural, I wasn’t scared of using it. I have two experiences with the product so it was kinda difficult to reach to a conclusion.

My experience with Khadi Age Control Sandalwood Cream

The Khadi sandalwood cream is a thick off white colored cream in a small tub which needless to say smells of sandalwood. The smell is strong and ones who don’t like this smell can stay away from this one. however if you have the amount of tolerance, it fades away within 10 minutes.

Anti ageing creams make me feel so old but this one was not that typical anti- ageing cream which is meant to reduce wrinkles and all, its basically for a radiant youthful skin and for all age groups ( note: AA creams should be started from your mid twenties) .

Take 1: I was in Mumbai when I tried this product. My skin is normal and dries slightly in the winter months so this was the best time to try out a heavy cream like this. I used it and it was just not ready to sink in. it took about 30 seconds to get absorbed and felt quite sticky. I thought that it says it’s a massage cream so let’s be fair because massage creams do take some time to penetrate in the skin but the after effects were also not rewarding. My skin felt sweaty and greasy. It felt quite heavy and when I stepped out of the house it attracted dirt which is something no one desires. Needless to say I did not use it again.

Take 2:  I don’t know what struck my mind and I kept this cream when I was packing stuff for Jhansi (that’s how I always have excess baggage )but when I came here my skin was superdry so I applied this cream to combat the dryness and looking at the results I felt that I was using some other cream. It absorbed quickly, took care of the dryness and kept my skin hydrated and glowing. It did not feel greasy at all and I am happily using it every day.

  1. I absolutely loved your review! Unfortunately I have oily skin type so need to pass it on.. But would surely recommend this to someone with dry skin

  2. the difference in weather explains the dual behavior of this cream. its the skin that became super dry in winters of jhansi that let the cream get absorbed! the humidity in mumbai does not permit tht.. nicely reviewed dear 🙂
